Goodbye Kiss - Jacob Day (Imagine)

Y/N'S POV

I think I just was given the worst yet best opportunity ever. How am I supposed to tell everyone? Especially Jacob?!? This is gonna be hard.

I guess I should've known being a college student and just moving into the Hype House would be a lot of work. I just unpacked most of my clothes, and now I'm gonna have to pack them up again.

I guess when you get into good schools like UCLA, you get to travel to different countries for projects. It's a great opportunity, but it's gonna be hard to say goodbye to my new friends that I just got to know and love.

I get home and immediately became greeted by the all the different pets this house has; then head straight to my room. I throw my bag in my head, and sit at my desk; pondering how I should tell the house I'm leaving for two weeks straight.

After thinking for maybe, ten minutes, I decided to let Thomas know first, since you know, he's kinda the ringmaster here. I gave him a call and asked him and Mia to come into my room for a little chat. Including Mia sounded easier for me to deliver this message.

Mia and knocked and they both sat down on my bed, waiting for me to break the silence.

"Alright guys, there really isn't a easy way to say this but-"

"Wait you're not leaving the hype house are you", Thomas spoke skittishly.

"No no! Not at all...well...not exactly", I said very slowly.

"Ok good. Wait, what do you mean not really", Mia chimed in looking concerned.

I sighed, "I'm just gonna get straight to the point. I'm-".

All of a sudden a knock formed on the door, and Jacob walked in. He froze, as his blueish green eyes scanned the room. His lips made a frown, and his eyebrows furrowed.

"What's going on"?

I decided not to send him away, because it would only be harder knowing that I'm keeping this from him already.

"Come sit Jacob. You need to hear this as well".

Jacob's tall body walked himself over to my bed, and sat behind the couple that was still waiting for their explanation.

I took a deep breath, "Ok no more interruptions. The point is that I'm leaving for two weeks. I have a big project for the end of the first semester. It's in France, and I leave in five days. UCLA is paying for half my round trip ticket, and giving me $500 extra dollars for expenses".

Silence, pure silence. Nobody moved an inch. I looked up and saw a contemplated Thomas, a speechless Mia, and a sadden Jacob on my bed.

"Y/n, I don't want you to miss this trip, but I'm just gonna let you know that even though you are going away for a bit, you still need to be active".

"Oh for sure Thomas, that's not changing at all. I just won't be exactly here for two weeks and I wanted to give you a heads up".

"Well I appreciate that. Thank you. It's gonna be quiet without the fourth girl of the bunch".

Mia looked like she was ready to cry.

"Mia, please don't be upset. I'm coming right back after. It'll be sooner than you think".

"I know, but what are Tab, Paige, and I gonna do without you"?

I smiled, "What've you already done before I came along, and continue to do now".

I leaned closer to her and whispered, "And I'm putting you in charge of keeping Jacob out of trouble, and keeping my room the way it is".

She smiled, "You got it"!
