"Yes , i find it makes the food taste better"

"Woah. And you can control how hot it gets?"

"Well mostly fire is fire after all"

"Woah! And it doesnt burn your hands?"

"Of course not. I summon it"

"Does it take alot to summon it?"

"My! You sure have alot of questions" Toriel chuckled.

Claire flushed before sitting back in her chair embarrassed.

"She has a curiosity for everything" Red stated before continuing to shovel down food.

Everyone had been invited to the feast of the ages. Toriel sat proudly at the top of the table , Red and Claire sat beside eachother on one side. Papyrus and Sans sat across from them on the opposite side followed by Undyne and Alphys. Napstablook sat across from them by themself an empty seat beside them. Adi and Grunt sat beside eachother on the same side.Mettaton showed his face briefly before saying he had to dash and the life of a star wasnt easy.
The rest of the table was filled up with familiar faces including the Shopkeeper and her family , Bleu the nice cream guy , Monster kid and his family along with-

Well you get the idea.

Hearty food was all around for everyone to enjoy. Toriel had to get over her shock of Reds appetite habits before laughing about it. Conversation flowed throughout the table freely different people getting involved to laugh at stories , tell their own and bond over others.

"And my Child I'm simply dying to know what your life is like? Tell me everything" Toriel sat back after finishing her meal.

"Theres not really alot to tell Mom. I work in a bakery have done for a couple years , started college and didnt finish..i- well it just didnt really suit me",

"You loved literature though!" Claire chimed in

"I still read alot its enough for me. But yeah I work in the bakery and on the weekend I clean the local school. Me and Claire live in an apartment in the city now. My parents still live in the village I grew up in. They visit from time to time but mostly leave us alone since they know how busy we are. Uhm what else. I got a cat! His names Oogie. We rescued him from the streets about 2 years ago....

Toriel nodded politely before gently patting Reds arm.

"Sounds like you're not satisfied"

'That's a laugh' Red thought and looked down at the table cloth. The happiest shes been is now surrounded by her friends and the people she cares about. It was hard not to smile with so much positivity around.

And yet..

That feeling just wouldnt go away no matter how hard she tried.

Red sighed and didnt reply.

Toriel removed her hand before Adis voice was heard piping up

"So Sans , how have you been?"

Red snapped her head up

"Yeah about that. How do you know eachother??"

"Is this what happend in waterfall?" Sans jerked his head toward the couple and looked sternly at the girl.

Red gulped before nodding stiffly

"Yeah. We had a run in with them..nothing I couldnt Handle now your turn , how do you know her?"
