"Mom baked a pie and you didn't call me immediately?! This is betrayal"

Claire rolled her eyes as her cousin dishes up another plate of cinna scotch pie, devouring it in under 10 seconds. Red quickly cleans up after herself and the two walk out of the kitchen to meet up

"so.. You haven't really said anything about.. Well about anything I just talked about" Claire inhaled

"..... I don't really have anything to say, it doesn't make any difference to me Claire you're still my cousin and.... I still loveyou"

Claire chuckled and pushed her cousins shoulder

"wouldn't kill you to say it more often y'know."

Red nodded slowly and struggled to smile back at her cousin. But Claire knew,

Red was just not as open to constantly saying she loved, she said it every now and again and that should be enough in her eyes.

But making Dinner

Making sure her room was kept clean

Buying her stationary Claire didn't realise she was low in

Worrying about a bill she found out was miraculously paid already

Those things , proved Reds love more than any words could. Sure it was nice to hear it , but she always knew.

Claire smiled wider at her cousin as they joined the others in the living room , Sans and papyrus were idly chatting about something on the couch , Undyne and Alphyss were watching some anime on her phone , Adi and Grunt were cuddled up on the love seat reading a shared book. Toriel had just walked in and perched herself on her chair with a content smile resting on her face.

Reds heart swelled at the sight of her friends all together

All happy.

But how long can it last Red? How long can they pretend everything is alright hm?

Reds shoulders drooped. With a sigh she joins her skeleton friends on the couch , papyrus stops mid sentence to smile at her before engaging in conversation again.

Claire sat on the arm of the couch beside her cousin , nudging her to get her attention. Red puts her phone away yet again and looks up at her humming

"You good?"

"Yeah , you?"

"...He's not gonna call"

Red sighs and looks away , the skeleton brothers had moved on to talking to Undyne and Toriel about something Red couldn't quite hear.

"Red"

She looks back uo at her cousin

"What gives? What's going on with you and this... secret admirer"

"We aren't calling him that ... and nothing it's just weird to suddenly not have the thing you had every day you know? It was a habit to answer his calls and now.... ever since the last one its just been... odd I feel like....

Like I'm near the end"

"What do you mean?" Claire slid down to now be sitting beside her cousin

"Idont know Claire... to be honest I just think I'm tired" Red sighed, Claire nodded before standing and pulling her arm up

"How bout some music? Get those bones shak- is that offensive?"

"..no Claire of course not"

"Shaking!!! Hey guys!",

The room turned to her

"How bout some karaoke?!"

"I LOVE KARAOKE! SANS LETS DO IT"

Sans chuckled and nodded as the others pushed all the chairs against the wall to make room on the floor to be the stage
