"What exactly do you want?" The Lord decided to indulge the female and would determine what to do with her later. "I want all those guilty of killing my parents and uncle's family dead," she stated, her eyes and attitude turning icy.

"Tell me who they are, and I'll do it. You have my word," he promised, taking no time to think.

"They're all here, the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and the pack doctor," she said, listing her foes. He could see the relief on her face as she realized they would be held accountable for their actions. "All dead except the doctor," he pointed out, clicks and puffs showing he was amused. Her little pink mouth opened wide in astonishment. "Vuah'ka, go end the doctor now!" he yelled in English so she could understand. A quick "yes" came from outside the room.

Alana was frozen in place. He didn't appear to be the type to lie after how easily he killed Cole, so it must be true. She could not believe her ears. After 19 years of running and months of torment, it was all over even before she asked. It felt anticlimactic, but she was happy regardless. Her parents would rest in peace, and she would not have to risk her life for revenge. "Thank you very much," she said, bowing. "If you would unchain and take me out, I will show you the pup location," she continued.

"Just tell me where; there is no need to show me," the Lord said while he released her from her restraints. She was stunned when he approached and overshadowed her with almost 3 feet of height. Feeling his large, rough hands on her injured limbs made her cringe in pain.

"Please trust me when I say you require my assistance. The Mood Goddess indicated that only I can break the spell that has been cast on your pup," she continued, making him pause and gaze straight into her green-clear eyes. "You mean the werewolf deity?" he snarled, annoyed.

"Yes, her. She spoke to me for the very first time tonight. The Moon Goddess said you'd come seeking your pup, and she showed me his location, also advising me to go there." He believed in Cetanu and Paya, but he wasn't sure if the werewolf deity was genuine. The odd female didn't appear to be lying; therefore, it had to be genuine, or she was insane and truly believed what she said. After breaking her restraints, he walked towards the door, shouting "Come!" The next second, he heard her fall to the floor.

"I'm... I'm sorry," she whispered. "I've lost too much blood tonight," Alana explained with a wry smile. Lyra could heal wounds, but the months of starvation and blood loss made her weaker than a pup.

Tha'dqa grabbed and slung her over his shoulder like a potato bag, causing an embarrassing whimper to escape her lips. Her bones were jutting out, and she was as light as a suckling. "Where?" he inquired, once outside.

"There is a mountain close to this village; we need to get there and climb it," she replied with a strangled voice. The metallic shoulder armor was digging into her stomach and ribs, and his impossibly big hand held her thighs, but she didn't dare to complain.

He began to sprint, and even though she couldn't see anything, she could hear several individuals racing beside them. Alana was astonished by how quickly they were traveling. Trying to ignore the discomfort, she focused on his exquisite musky scent, which reminded her of the forest smells of earth and wood, grass, and fresh, crisp air. It made her dry mouth water. "How could he smell so good?" She wondered curiously what type of creature he was and where he came from. Why would the Mood Goddess be interested in him?
