"My Lord, why did you bring this female on board?" O'dtaal, the ship's medic, asked, walking inside the room from a side door.

"She's the werewolf who assisted us in our search. When we found my pup, he explained that he had been sleeping the entire time and had dreamed of a powerful female named Moon Goddess. She assured him no harm was intended as we were also her children, only wanting us to take this female, as apparently, she will help us use the gift that our ancient lycan Matriarch has bestowed upon us," Tha'dqa explained.

"And you believe it?" the medic asked doubtfully. When he looked at the sleeping female, he thought she wasn't much.

The Lord started clicking his tusks in laughter. "It does not matter if I believe it or not; I had decided, even before we found Na'je, to take her as my trophy. You're aware that this is my first time visiting Earth. She had more guts than the males we killed. Make sure she's healthy," he ordered.

The medic began to laugh as he went to his displays to check the female data, disregarding his Lord's irritation.

Her scent was much stronger now, luring him in even closer. He was perplexed as to how such a frail female could ever assist his clan. But he was wise enough not to mock the Gods. He'll have time to solve the puzzle when he returns home.

Tha'dqa admired her white hair and sparkling green eyes and imagined her in wolf shape. "Would she be stronger then?" he wondered. He came to when he realized he had been staring at her for quite some time.

A few hours later, the pod notified O'dtaal that her body had fully restored, causing him to leap from his chair in awe. She should have taken at least a day to heal, given the severity of her wounds. He examined the data the pod provided, and she appeared to be no different from what he knew about werewolves, except that she seemed to recover faster. The Lord told him to hide his face. Putting on his mask, he went to check the pod. Half of her body had already emerged from the healing gel, and her eyes were moving beneath the lids.

It took her a few moments to finally open her eyes, the dizziness vanished only when her vision became clear. She saw another being towering over her next to the table. Alana waited a moment to see his reaction, and seeing him just staring, she made a poor attempt to get up. His hands moved fast to help her. "Thank you," she said. Alana marveled looking down at her body, which was free of wounds, and the scars appeared to be old.

"Where is the one who brought me here?" she inquired. "The Lord has been informed of your awakening. Wait," he said, and she noticed he was struggling to articulate the words. "Why would all of them know a human language?" she thought.

"Lyra, sweetie, could you please talk to me?" She asked her wolf, but all she got was the same silence since she was rejected. Alana had thought maybe things would be different now, with no wolfsbane in her system. She missed her so deeply that it ached. Rohen began searching for her three years ago, when she was sixteen. That is the age at which werewolves get their wolf and undergo their first transformation.
