Chapter Twenty-Seven---Past Discovery

"Vander! I think I figured it out! My attribute comes in handy a lot."

The vampire looked up from where he was reading.

"Mm? What did you do?"

Kila looked very smug as she responded.

"Looked into its past."

His jaw dropped and he blustered slightly.

"What..? How?"

"My attribute is fantastic is how. I can just look into its past and figure it out."

Recovering slightly, he asked another question.

"Then?"

"Dominating Aura. It belonged to a Korean dude who ended up here. He changed his name when he was here, but his old one was, get this, Choi Jung Gun."

"Choi. Is that a common name, or are they related?"

"I'm pretty sure it's a common surname, but I think they are related. I'd have to ask Han though."

"Right. Are you going to figure out the rock you gave Talrati?"

"Ah, yes."

Once she said that Vander just waved her in the direction of the training hall.

"She's in there practicing shaping her aura. Been working at that for a good year. She's still not satisfied."

"Most people can't even create an aura, it stands to reason she'd want to be good at using it. How's your aura control?"

Vander pondered for a moment before responding.

"Eh, I can shape it mostly control the shape, and have full control of how destructive it is."

"Same. Han is way too good though. I'm a dragon and older for goodness sakes, he shouldn't be that much better than me."

"True. He's really skilled."

"Anyway, I'm going to see if I can help Talrati learn how to earn her power."

"Sure, see ya."

"Mm."

Kila quickly left to find Talrati. She went to the training hall, and, as expected, there she was.

"Hey Tal!"

The other woman's head snapped up to look at her.

"Hey Kila-nim. How can I help you? "

"I wanted to try to see what the ancient-power-I-gave-you's test is. I figured out what the crown's is."

Talrati started slightly before smiling broadly.

"Sure. I was having issues. I can go get it for you."

"Alright. I'll be in the main living room."

Talrati nodded before leaving. Kila teleported to the living room and sat down. She didn't have to wait long before Talrati came back with the rock. Kila took it and walked to a couch and sat down before examining it.

She took several minutes before looking up.

"That was a lot. All of the stuff I saw was from ancient times, like Dominating Aura. This is a protection power that let's you control rock as well as harden your body."

Talrati looked contemplative for a bit before asking a question.

"How do I earn it though?"

Kila smiled ruefully as she replied.

"It's annoying, but I really couldn't tell, sorry."

"Nah, it's fine. I'll just have to try different things."
