The workers didn't take long to exit the mine and were soon standing nearby.
"Are you all okay? We dealt with them but I'd like you to tell me if anyone got hurt."
All of them began looking themselves over and eventually shook their heads.
"No, we're all okay. Thank you Kila-nim, Vander-nim, and Choi Han-nim."
Vander didn't really respond, but he nodded, smiling slightly, and turned to Choi Han. He didn't react as gracefully, looking down and mumbling a "you're welcome."
"I didn't do anything other than bring the guys. Han and Vander were the ones who took out everyone. Also, you are my employees, I'm not gonna let you get hurt or killed."
"Thank you for coming though."
"Mm."
Once everyone was calmed down, Kila started pushing her prisoners together. Vander looked at her, confused.
"If they were this willing to attack random workers I'm gonna guess at least a few have criminal records."
"Ah, that makes sense. I'll help."
With Vander helping they soon had all of the invaders in a heap. While they were working, Choi Han was interacting with the workers.
"Han! Send them home! I'll hire a cook for the dorm for today."
"Got it Noonim."
Choi Han began ushering them to the teleportation circle and waved them off before walking to the other group.
"Hey Han, can you grab onto that guy so he doesn't get away? I need to teleport all of these guys so I can't hold a chain around him."
"Of course!"
With Syrem out of the way Kila started casting.
"Where are you headed Kila?"
"Caro Capital. Directly West from here."
"Alright. I'll follow you."
"Thanks."
One less person wouldn't have made a difference usually, but the issue was that his mana was unique making her concentrate more to teleport him. After a minute they vanished.
'Geh... I don't like taking this many people at all. Would scrolls have been better? But then I'd need to replace them. Whatever.'
Kila had taken them to the guard house and she was being stared at. Completely ignoring the eyes on her, she walked to a soldier and began speaking.
"I caught these guys attacking some of my workers. I'd like to check if you can take them."
"Huh? Ah, sure."
Despite the soldier's obvious apprehension, they soon were free of the 40 man burden. Kila was satisfied and walked back to Vander and Choi Han, who was still holding onto Syrem.
"Let's go, I'm tired and want a nap. Vander, can you get all the way home or will you need me to take you?"
"I can get there, it wouldn't be possible if we were going to the treehouse though."
"That's a different continent, I wouldn't expect you to be able to do that."
"What should we do with this guy though Noonim?"
"Um... his ancient powers might be useful. What happens to them?"
"They disperse into the surroundings when the owner dies Kila."
"Right. Geez, I knew that, I must be exhausted. Let's go home, we can ask what he was doing in my mountains once we're there."
"Mhm."
