I ran around my room searching for an outfit, one that said "I can function but I'm not trying to impress you at all" This was normal right? Freaking out before you have dinner with your friend? I spooned food into my cats bowl and looked at myself in the mirror:

I fixed my hair to the best of my ability, grabbed my keys, and I sat on my couch anxiously i felt my phone buzz.

Wilbur: I'm really close like 5 more minutes :D

George: Okay cool :)

5 minutes okay. I started mentally preparing myself to hear the knock and then having to actually open the door. I stood up and then immediately sat down, I should act casual. I grabbed a book and began to read. I got lost for a bit but a knock made me aware of who was outside. I went to the door and opened it to Wilbur looking, quite frankly, very handsome. "George?"

"Hm? Oh! Hiii," I smiled sheepishly

"I hope I didn't over dress," He adjusted his glasses

( A/N: When I imagined Wilbur in this- foaming at the mouth respectfully)

"No you look great," my face felt like it was on fire

"Thank you, you look good yourself," my brain blanked as Wilbur explained where we were sitting. He thinks I look good? Okay but that's normal, like friends say that. So why is my heart beating so fucking fast? "George," he called

"Hm?"

"Are you ready?" he lightly chuckled

"Yeah," he took my hand and led me out

"I'm sorry my car is kind of a mess," he began moving random books from the passenger's seat to the back.

"It's fine," I smiled and offered to help

"No no, it's fine," he got the last of the books gone and dusted the seat. He motioned for me to sit and so I did. He began to drive and asked if I would like the radio on.

"I don't mind either," he flipped to a jazz channel and turned it down so it was only playing softly.

"Sorry this was so outta the blue," he tapped the wheel anxiously

"It's fine! I didn't have much to eat anyway," I shrugged. I pulled out my phone and saw Dream posted a picture. It was him and Sap cuddling and kissing and a pit formed. I looked at the picture imagining that it was me and I felt guilty. I guess Wilbur noticed and he brushed my arm asking for my hand. I gave it and he simply squeezed it but the pit untightened. I closed my phone and pushed it under my leg. We sat in silence for a bit just holding hands. It was calm and nice but I wanted to talk to him.

"How long have you worked in the bookstore?"

"Well it's quite old, I used to go when I was younger. One day there was a sign that said it was closing. I asked the owner why, and he said that none of his kids wanted the store. I was maybe 20 and I needed a job so I just blurted, I'll take it! So he taught me the ropes, let me move in up on top and now we're here."

"That's amazing," he nodded with a smile.

We were walked to our seats by the waiter and as we sat down I noticed how pretty Wilbur is. His hair was always so fluffy and his glasses framed his face very nicely. His smile is so genuine and his eyes look so deep, but I guess I was looking to intently cause he noticed, "You can always take a photo," he winked and I instantly got red

"Oh shut up," I sighed. He simply laughed and began looking at the menu. He decided on some spicy vodka pasta and I ordered a random salad that had strawberries in it. We talked the whole time about music, books, movies, and even some personal stuff. I've never really felt this open, well, except for Dream. Forget him though, he's taken and Wilbur's voice is just so endearing it's hard not to listen.

When the bill came he instantly took paying for both meals, "Wilbur you didn't have to," I guiltily put my wallet away

"Don't worry about it," he reassured. We left the restaurant talking up a storm, it felt nice not having to spend your night alone. We walked back to the car and Wil asked if I wanted to stop by his place for a bit. Fearing that I might send a message to Dream if i was on my own I said yes.
