I was walking to Wilbur's since he needed help planning his Christmas party, and also because I really wanted to see him. We were planning to have the party tomorrow on Christmas Eve so, for once, I planned ahead. I made sure I would have tomorrow and all through New Years off. I was a genius I know, I walked into Wilbur's but didn't find him in the store. I messaged him but his phone went off in the store, it was on his desk. I started getting a bit worried when someone ran in, "George! I thought you were coming later, if I knew you were coming now I wouldn't have tried running to the store" Wilbur huffed out of breath smiling. He was carrying a grocery bag and flowers.

"Sorry," he shook his head

"Don't be! I'm so happy to see you," he cupped my cheeks, kissing me softly. I smiled, giggling a bit as I kissed back, "Right, so the party?" He began explaining his ideas. He didn't want anything big, his main goal was to make the environment cozy and warm. We started decorating his office. I was hopeful about the flowers but seeing him set them in a vase and put them on his desk I knew I was just being foolish. I even asked about them and all he said is that he got them from Niki's. As Wilbur made us some tea I kept decorating, right now I was hanging lights around the bookshelves. He handed me my tea and we sat on his couch together. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he wrapped an arm around me, "Are you doing anything later?" I shook my head, "Wanna watch a movie?"

"Yeah!" We went up to Will's apartment and he let me choose a movie, I saw he had Dead Poets Society, and I chuckled.

"What?"

"This just seems so you," I showed him the movie I was holding

"Oh! That's really good lets watch it," I nodded sliding it into the dvd player

"The part after the play always makes me cry," I frowned and Wilbur pulled me close to him on his couch.

"It's okay," he kissed my temple and the movie began.

As the credits began to roll and I wiped a few stray tears from my cheeks I looked and saw a sleeping Wilbur. I kissed his forehead and got a blanket from his bed and draped it over him. I took his glasses off gently, setting them down on the coffee table. I looked back at him before leaving his apartment, I made sure to text him to let him know I'd left. I made my way home and began to wonder what Wilbur and I were, what did he see in me?

It was the next morning and I rolled out of bed. I checked the time and saw I had a good few hours before the party. I decided to make some coffee and just relax, Wilbur texted me to remind me of the party. I chuckled before making sure to let him know I would be seeing him soon. I sat around a bit longer playing games, watching t.v, and playing with my cat. Before I knew it I had an hour to get ready, I washed my hair and got dressed.

I looked in the mirror and felt a sense of dread, what would Wilbur think? I shook my head, moving away from the mirror. I sprayed on some cologne then began to fix up my hair. I took a longer glance at the mirror this time and huffed, everything was going to be fine. I gathered my keys and things then went out the door. The walk felt shorter as I sped down the sidewalk. Wilbur's store looked so warm and cozy compared to the harsh wind and rain outside. I walked in and was greeted by Phil giving me a hug, "George is here!" He introduced me to his wife. I waved hello and shook Techno's hand greeting him.

"George!" Wilbur ran over smiling hugging me close. I giggled, it felt so good to have him hold me. He handed me some flowers and I felt my cheeks burn.

"Oh Wilbur, they're beautiful!" I held them close and I could see how excited he was, why?
"George," he could barely hide his grin

"Yes?" I looked up at him as the room fell still

"I really, really like you. I was wondering if," he took my hand, "If you would be mine," his smile was so sincere and I felt my heart burst

"Yes!" I blurted out, quickly covering my mouth, "I mean, mhm!" he smiled even wider kissing me, I couldn't help but smile.

We spent the rest of the night dancing and talking with everyone, Wilburs hand never left my side. When the party ended he offered me to stay and I couldn't refuse. We stayed up longer eating ice cream and watching shitty hallmark movies. Simply being with him made me feel so happy and now I was with him.
