Chapter 2: Reunited

Book, Ice Cube, and Pencil were walking towards Bubble, who simply waved at them from behind a clump of bushes. Ruby had said "BRB I'll be right back!" and rushed off while Match went to make sure she didn't do anything stupid, leaving Bubble to wait for the other three.

"Hey Bubble." Book said as she shuffled her way through the bushes.

Bubble smiled. "I'm glad yoi came back to the alloiance Book." She nodded her head towards Ice Cube. "And Ice Cube."

Ice Cube, who had been standing on the other side of Book (Pencil is in the middle, and Book is on the left while Ice Cube is on the right,) only nodded at this and sat down on the grass next to Bubble. The other two did the same.

"So..." Pencil started. "Where'd Ruby and Match go.?"

"Ruby ran off somewhere and Match went off to foind her."

"Oh."

"I think I see them coming right now." Everyone turned to look where Book was looking at. Sure enough, Ruby and Match were walking towards the bushes they were sitting in. Ruby holding something brown with a circle in the middle in her hands, Match following close behind her.

Ruby ran towards the bushes and jumped inside, startling everyone. "Hey guys, I'm back!" She was still holding the box in her hands. Shortly after Ruby jumped inside, Match walked through the bush as well.

"Ruby- is that what I think it is.?" Pencil was staring at the box in awe.

"You like, bet Pence-Pence! It's—" Match was abruptly cut off as Ruby turned around, jumped in the air and opened the box. "The FreeSmart SuperVan!!" Ruby finished, dramatically waving her hands at the supervan.

"Alright then, change of plans. Everybody, get in the van!" Pencil walked in first, sitting in the driver seat followed by Match in the seat next to hers, Ruby behind Pencil, Bubble next to Ruby (behind Match) Ice Cube behind Ruby, and Book next to Ice Cube (behind Bubble.)

"Um— where are we going anywoiys?"

"That's a good question Bubble. I have no idea actually. We'll just see when we get there." Pencil.

"But don't like, worry you guys. It's not like.. driving off a like cliff or anything like death-related. Right Pence-Pence?"

"I have no idea why I would drive off a cliff in the first place- but yeah. Nothing death-related. Also it's kinda far."

Book and Ice Cube exchanged glances with each other. Probably the first interaction they've had in weeks.

Book's POV:

[Flashback]:

I notice Pencil walking towards me, followed by.....Ice Cube? I stand up immediately and walk towards them.

"Hey Pencil."

"Hey Book. Just wanted to let you know that Ice Cube agreed to join. So.. you in?"

I nod. "Definitely." I slowly glance over at Ice Cube, who has decided the ground looked very interesting. Guess she doesn't want to talk to me right now... maybe later then. Or- Or possibly never? What if she hates me so much she doesn't even want to interact with me ever again? Or what if-

"What about you Book?" Pencil's voice interrupted.

"Huh? What?" I jumped so violently Pencil lifted her eyebrows at me from the review mirror. Then a groan, coming from Match. "Were you even like, listening to what we were like, saying?"

"Sorry.. no, I wasn't."

"The question: where do you think we're going to end up at? Everyone else already answered."

"Uh..." I looked out the window. "I don't know- uhm.. Yoyle City?

"Yay! See? I TOLD you that Book would say Yoyle City! Now there's TWO people saying that we're going!"

"Yes, Ruby, we know. But that doesn't mean that we're actually going there."

"But Pencillll, you're driving, shouldn't you know where we're going?"

"I already told you that I didn't know where we were going at the beginning of the ride!"

"Doesn't that mean we're lost?" Everyone turned to look at Ice Cube. She's been quiet for the whole ride that everyone had forgotten she was there. Almost everyone. I didn't  anyways..

"Ice Cube's right you know.. If you don't know where you're going, then you're lost. That's basically the meaning of the word lost. I would know, since not only am I an HPRC manual, I'm also a-"

"Yes Book, WE KNOW. You're a dictionary too. But that doesn't mean we're lost. In fact, we have just arrived!"

Ruby's mouth dropped open, then she ran out of the van and jumped on the grass. Everyone else followed her out the van shortly after. "So you DID know where we were going!"

"Uh.. where ARE we though?" I asked, looking around. The grass was green.. so not Yoyle city, but there were a bunch of pillars and old buildings everywhere, so it also couldn't be the old contesting grounds. Weirdest of all, there were purple mountains, two towers, one blue and complete, and one yellow and half complete, a big blue building with half the bottom left, and... is that a partially burnt patch of aloe vera?

"Welcome, alliance, to the Pillary Ruins! As two of you already know," She nodded at Ruby and Bubble. "This was the place where BFB had taken place when Two zapped Four and the rest of the objects away."

"Woit.. Poincil, hoiw do you know about thoit?"

"Yeah Pencil, you and Match weren't there since you were eliminated. Also Book and Ice Cube wouldn't know either cause they were in TPOT. So they couldn't have told you guys."

Pencil raised an eyebrow slightly. "You're making it sound like only people from the alliance would talk to me."

"I didn't mean it like that!-"

"Yeah, I know. Just wanted to see your reaction." She chuckled. "Anyways, Four showed us BFB in the EXIT cause they ran out of math worksheets or whatever."

"Don't forget the part about when Four like- complimented us for somehow doing really well at math!" Match added.

"Oh yeah that part too." Pencil agreed.

The two woodsicles started chatting, leaving the rest of the alliance to do whatever they wanted.

"Hey Bubble! Wanna go see if we can rebuild the Have-Nots's tower? We can use those bricks over there." Ruby pointed to a pile of yellow bricks laying next to the broken tower.

"Sure!" The two ran off to build, leaving Ice Cube and I alone.

"Icy, can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked, waiting for an answer, but got no reply.

I turned around, only to find nobody sitting next to me.

"Oh." I simply sighed, deciding to sit down. The grass was unusually soft and- wait is the sky purple?

I looked up, oh wow- it really is. Kind of pretty actually... I lied down on my back. Wouldn't hurt to go to sleep right now I guess. It's almost dark anyways.
