(Y'all thought it was gonna be Drippy and Oliver lmao. I do plan on writing about those two though.

Bri/Drippy: WE'RE NOT B O N D I N G SO SHUT UP.

You are in this oneshot-

Swaine: Why is this a thing?

Because I suck at writing Drippy and I love him being soft to people. Also somewhat doing his accent I guess?🙁

Drippy: Can we just get this over with? 😳

Fine.)

It was normal to drag a doll around the house when you were a child, or in this case Oliver.

Not so much when you were a high school student dragging a fairy turned doll into school (which you "borrowed" from Oliver off his bed) because you didn't like being alone.

Well, you weren't REALLY alone.

There were students all around you, some who were currently teasing you, others who simply didn't care. The teachers gave you odd looks as you went into their classes but didn't say anything, probably so you wouldn't get picked on more.

What could a doll do, anyway? One really good thing was that this doll, in particular, was forced to listen to you rant about your day on the way home, even though he'd already seen it. He liked hearing it from your perspective though, even if some of it was exaggerated.

Then, hoping you beat Oliver home, you had to slip him on Oliver's bed where he was that morning.

It was a routine, if you will.

A routine neither of us minded.

-

A few weeks pass and Allie decided to do something about it. Not that it was bad, exactly. She just wanted to know what was going on.

What, you think she wouldn't notice Drippy missing from Oliver's bed in the morning and put two and two together?

At first she thought it was Oliver but that was shot down during the first day when he came home without him.

So the only other option was Bri.

-

Spending the afternoon at the dojo was fun, but Bri didn't want to be out too late. By the time she noticed how late it was, she was out the door and running down the street.

'Allie's gonna kill me.'

It must be after dinner now. Perhaps Oliver had already gone to bed. Regardless, she ran as fast as she could back home.

And, not to her surprise, there was Allie sitting in front of the fireplace. Oliver must definitely be asleep then.

"You're home late."

She said it so casually, like it happened before.

Bri ignored her and sat on the couch. "Don't you have a concert tonight?"

"I canceled it because you're more important."

Bri blinked. She shouldn't have done that. They need all the money they can get right now!...Wait, she's important?

"Important...how exactly?" Drippy was sitting on her lap at this point. She liked having him with her as a sort of comfort.

Allie got straight to the point. "Why are you taking Drippy more often?"

Taking Drippy. Not "hanging out with Drippy" or "playing with Drippy" like she thought.

"He's a fairy Allie. He doesn't deserve to be hanging around in the house like this. It's rather boring."

"You sidestepped my question."

Maybe she did, but it's not like she wanted to tell her. She doesn't need to know. Nobody needs to know.

"I'm going to bed." Bri got up and went upstairs to her room.

-

The Cat's Cradle was quiet, and as usual Bri wasn't sleeping. Except she actually wanted to sleep this time.

Something poked her and she sat up looking around before her eyes landed on Drippy, sitting near her on the bed.

"You all right, mun?...Y'know, just asking for Oliver's sake."

Right, for Oliver's sake. Then for Oliver's sake-

"Yeah, I'm fine."

Drippy knew otherwise and moved to sit next to her instead. "I'm no idiot. Now get talking before this gets all mushy, like."

"...Do you remember anything from being a doll?"

Well. He certainly didn't expect that one. "Well...bits and pieces."

Oh...then-

"So are we not friends?" She started to tear up and Drippy thought she was going to flood the room if he didn't do something.

"Where on earth did you get that from? Just because I was a doll doesn't matter. We're still friends no matter what form I'm in."

Really? "Are you sure that's not for 'Oliver's sake' Drippy?"

"I mean...I guess I have been a little worried about you today...b-but don't get me wrong, Ollie-boy's been more worried than me! My reputation's at stake here! What would the other fairies think-?"

Bri tried to keep her laughter down but it didn't work. "Drippy cares, Drippy cares!"

"Do you want the whole world to know or something? Oi, pipe it down will you?" He'll never hear the end of it if the group caught wind that he was being soft.

Bri stopped laughing after a few seconds. "Okay, okay...Guess I should try to go back to sleep. We have a bounty hunt tomorrow."

Drippy nodded, and when Bri laid back down to go to sleep he went and curled up next to her. She raised an eyebrow at him.

"If anyone asks, you dared me."

"Okay." She wrapped an arm around him and pulled him closer, cuddling him like she used to.

She had her friend back.

(Idk what that ending was, but here you go.

Drippy: You need to work on me, mun. Needs more polish, like.

Oh shut up. Now I get to do Swaine's oneshots in my other book! 😀

Bri: Yay Swaine! 😄
