Chapter 14

"Alright, Alright, Hold your horses." Adam started in a baffled tone raising his hands. "Let me get this straight. You're a yellow core quadra elemental mage with three deviants and a girlfriend who's actually a PRINCESS. All that when you aren't even eleven."

"Other than the fact I'll be turning eleven soon you're precisely right." Arthur responded simply like it's no big deal.

After everyone was done with the greetings they all moved to the living room to hear about what happened after Arthur fell from the cliff. Helstea's had to go on a business trip so they excused themselves.

The Twin Horns, Tessia along with Arthur and his family retired to the living room. As everyone was seated Arthur decided it's better to drop the biggest bomb now than later. So he quickly revealed his abilities beforehand.

At first Adam tried to laugh it off but seeing the serious faces of Tessia and Arthur's family he lost his composure.

All other members of the Twin Horns had similar reactions. Helen's and Angela's jaw practically dropped, Durden just gave a smile but his wide open eyes betrayed the lower looks of his face. Even Jasmine's usual cold and expressionless face was nowhere to be seen and it looked like she didn't even know how to react to this bombshell that Arthur casually dropped.

Seeing their mixed reactions Ellie and Tess giggled among themselves while Alice and Reynolds were looking at them with an understanding smile. Meanwhile Arthur just sat casually waiting for them to digest the information.

"Okay," Helen started breaking the silence as she composed herself. "That's a lot to take in."

"Yeah we understand." Alice patted her shoulder. "We also had a similar reaction."

"Anyways keeping that aside what happened after you fell from the cliff?" Adam asked, changing the topic.

Arthur started revising on what happened after he fell down. He omnited any details regarding Sylvia for obvious reasons and just told how while travelling he stumbled across a mana beast's den where he found Sylvie's egg.

He then continued to explain how while travelling he found himself in the Elshire forest where he met a lost Tessia. He skipped the part related to slave traders since he felt like its better to not bring it up. Tessia didn't show much reaction to the memory since for her, who came back to the past after the incident more than 20 years have passed. So she didn't remember much of it and compared the horrors of the war she faced this wasn't even worth remembering.

Arthur continued on to explain how he escorted Tess back to Zestier. Then as her grandfather discovered that his mana core was unstable because of forming too early he offered to treat him that's why Arthur couldn't come back earlier. So he spent the past 5 years in Eleanoir, under Virion's tutelage.

At last Arthur gave the same explanation he gave to his parents about his absurd growth in core stages telling it happened mostly because of dense ambient mana of Elshire forest.

"Damn, it seems you've been through a lot." Adam sighed leaning back in his seat.

"Yeah, but all things aside you managed to get a bond. That's something even veteran adventurer's don't get easily." Helen chimed with a smile.

"Yeah, that's why she's so special to me." Arthur smiled, petting a sleeping Sylvie on his lap.

"Anyways, you better don't get ahead of yourself brat. Your core stage may be higher than ours but I don't think you can beat an experienced fighter like me." Adam stated proudly.

"If I remember correctly he nearly beat you when he was just four years old and was at the red stage." Durden chimed in.

"Yeah, I won't be surprised if he could wipe the floor with you now." Angela continued.
