Tessia's Second Chance[Hiatus]

Chapter 11

Tessia and Cynthia were currently in the Director's office at Xyrus Academy waiting for Arthur. It has been a week since Cynthia and Arthur's meeting. It was decided that Arthur will be under Cynthia's tutelage for a year before joining the Academy from next year. A carriage will be sent to pick him up and drop him back home.

Though the idea of living in the dorms was brought up by Vincent, Arthur politely refused it. It wasn't a problem living in dorms but with how much Arthur has missed the time with his family and how much he enjoyed their company ever since his return. Cynthia who knew a lot more about Arthur than anyone else present also supported him and assured it won't be a problem.

A knock on the door bought Tessia and Cynthia's attention.

"Come in!" Cynthia ordered in a calm tone.

The door swung open to reveal Arthur with Sylvie on his head who walked in. Tessia quickly rushed towards Arthur in excitement and pulled him in a hug which Arthur returned with a smile.

"How was your trip home, Art?" Tessia asked as she released him from the hug.

"It was fun and I really enjoyed seeing everyone. Thanks Tess, I don't think it would've been possible if you didn't stop me from going back to my old ways." Arthur admitted with a bright smile.

"I just did what I had to. Believe me no one would want to see you like that and I'm glad you listened to me." Tess leaned forward and gave Arthur a kiss which Arthur returned.

"Ahem, aren't you two quite a pair of love birds." Cynthia chuckled with a sly grin. "Too bad Virion isn't here."

'Hehe, mama and papa are love birds.' Sylvie snickered.

Arthur and Tessia jumped away from each other with their faces red in embarrassment. They got so lost that they forgot Cynthia was in the office too.

"Anyways, Director, what about our training session today?" Arthur asked, trying to switch the topic.

"Y-Yeah Grandma, you said you have plans for us." Tess continued as she grabbed Sylvie from Arthur's head and started petting her.

Cynthia chuckled as she gestured to them to take a seat opposite to her on the couch. As all of them settled down Cynthia started.

"First of all, after observing Tessia for a week and analyzing what I heard from Virion about Arthur and my personal duel with him I've decided a training regimen for both of you." Cynthia paused, making sure she had both of their attention. "First of all Tessia is pretty experienced in spell casting so that won't be the main focus. But I'm sure her close combat can be polished a bit, don't you think Arthur?"

Arthur nodded in agreement before speaking. "Yes, even though her swordsmanship is impressive it still has room for agreement."

"Yes, so Tessia's main focus will be on improving her close combat with Arthur's help. Though she'll still be working on her magic too at the same time so her skills won't be trusted." Cynthia then turned towards Arthur before continuing. "As for you Arthur, since you've already made a decent progress in wind with Virion we'll be working to improve your sound magic and I also found someone who'll be able to help you with your earth magic. Professor Johnas is the best earth augmenter we have in our staff and he has agreed to help you train."

"I see, it's a good plan director and I'm sure it'll work well." Arthur nodded his head in acceptance.

"Grandma, you said that you had plans for all three of us. What did you mean by that?" Tessia asked curiously.

"By that I was referring to Sylvie here." Cynthia clarified.

"Kyu?" Sylvie tilted her head in confusion.
