Chapter 3: Sweet Deal

Y/n took some time to carefully watch the ambiance , the racers from there only stared at you and whispered to each other until a white haired kid approached you and took her lollipop out of her mouth "So , like..who are you and what are you doing here?" Then saw another racer with a candle on her head stand behind the other girl "Yeah! Who are you? You dont look like you're from here"

You couldn't really take them seriously , they were all super short compared to you but you decided to answer "Well! The name's Y/n , I'm from (Insert your game's name) and I'm here for a very important mission!" You said proudly , after hearing that they all stared at each other and let out a small chuckle "Ok Y/n , my name's Taffyta , this is Candlehead , Adorabeezle , Jubileena , And uhh.. who were you again?" "Oh right , Rancis."

You weren't really listening that much as you were focused on something else "So uhm , is there any adult in here i could talk to?" involving little kids into your "mission" wasn't a very mature choice but as soon as you finished that sentence They all started to surround you , "so You wanna talk to the King?" Said Taffyta with a sly smile

"Oh , there's a king in here? That's perfect! Maybe he could give me a clue-" You were soon shut off by Taffyta "Listen "Y/n" , The King probably isn't interested in your "Little mission" " Candlehead then continued "Yeah! Who knows what kind of motives you got?" You started to get a little nervous by all of this questioning , You spoke "Woah hey hey- calm down kids! I'm just gonna have a nice talk with your king!" "I'm not a "game invader!"

Taffyta then snapped her fingers and the kids stopped surrounding you , "Well ,if that's true , then you can go , the castle's over there"

You were surprised by her quick change of moods but you didn't question it , you were just glad the kids stopped , "Oh- alright i guess? I'll just- uhh be on my way Byee!" You quickly walked off , You could hear some distant chuckling from the Racers "Oh they're going to get banned" one of them said , but you just kept walking.

After a short while you finally reached what was the castle's front door being guarded , you walked through until one of them stopped you and said "Well well , where do you think you're going?" God you were nervous "I'm just going to speak to the King!" The guard looked at the other guard and then his eyes landed at you again. "Did the King request your presence?"

You mumbled out whatever your brain was processing "Uh- not really but i mean yes, i mean- , Yeah he did!" You lied and saluted with your arm , The guard then got out your way and let guided you through the hall until you reached the Throne , You were staring at the floor the whole time and didn't know really what to expect

You heard the guard start to speak: "Sir , this weird person says that you requested their presence" , You finally looked up and , YOU. TRIED. TO HOLD. YOUR. laughter and somehow you managed to hold it together

Was that their king? He looks like they hired a clown for somebody's birthday party. Enough of bullying this man , The King stared confused , he had never seen you in his entire life as he spoke "I- do not remember requesting anything?" OH GOD HE HAD A LISP , at this point you could only look away to hide your laughter but you knew you were screwed as the king pointed something to the guard and they started taking you away "Wa-wait wait i can explain! I need to ask some questions!" "Please! This is important, you can't throw me out!" You struggled out of their grasp , The King then said "Ohoho! Why didn't you say that before! Guards , bring them over here!" , His sudden change of mood kinda confused you , was everyone in this place like that? but you were glad he let you talk

"Say , who are you?" He asked staring suspiciously

You nervously said "Well- the name's Y/n! I'm from (Insert game name)" , The king answered "Never heard that before" You got even more nervous "Oh it's.. a pretty new game y'know it- it doesn't matter , alright?" god, you were only looking super suspicious by now. "Your Majesty- I need your help to complete a mission. It 's just a few answers alright?" The guard then finally let you go. "Have you seen anything suspicious about Sugar Rush lately?" , The King's smug face dropped and chuckled "Suspicious? Oh no no! Of course not! Sugar rush has been in peace for years! Why would there be anything suspicious in here?" He moved his arms nervously.

"What about the ship that crashed in the caned forest yesterday? You interrogated , He jumped "Ship? What ship? Is that why you're here?" He went from smiling to looking serious , "Guards! Take them to the Dungeon!" "I can't let any virus stay here!" Once again you were screwing this up , "WAIT- I'LL DO ANYTHING! Please let me stay!. I have to do something important!" The King stopped on his tracks "Anything?"

You nodded in exchange

He walked in circles thinking until he snapped and the guards dropped you "Look , we can make a friendly trade hohoho! You could..Help us catch a certain someone and I will help you with whatever you have going on! Does that sound fair?" , You quickly nodded again and to be honest? Now that you think about it Calhoun didn't even tell you what kind of suspicious thing you were looking for , But maybe if you stayed in here for a while the search would start making sense.
The king cleared his throat: "So you better not try anything suspicious.. or i'll lock you in the fungeon!" , You stared at him with a dead stare "Fungeon?" , The king laughed "Oh it's a play of words- Fungeon , Dunge- SO you better show me that you aren't a virus!" , You could only nod

The King then clapped and a green ball thingy came running from behind "Yes , Sir?" He said almost with no energy. "SourBill , could you give Y/n a little tour? I'll be back later! He said as he hopped into his white car , "The random rooster game needs to begin, Have some candy!" He said as he happily drove away throwing some candy to the floor , What a crazy guy.

You then stared down to see Sourbill sigh "Let's just start the tour" he said sadly.
