Chapter 2: Candy Canes

As the day began you quickly hurried and tried to comb your  hair and align your clothes as quickly as possible without looking like you almost overslept , quickly gave your performance as soon as the coin was put in your arcade and so the day went on , sometimes catching a break and sometimes putting double effort. 

Behind every scene and show you were just lost in your thoughts and tired at the same time , without even realizing it , 12 am hit the clock and the arcade soon was closed , you got your time to take a break and eat your dinner and sprinted towards the exit to the game central station not wanting to waste any time ,or at least the 9 hours you had until the arcade opened again counting down from now

Let's say you had a thing with wanting to be a..professional detective , And not just the game kind of stuff.

God , now all you had to do was pass Surge and you would be ok. you hoped he wouldn't stop you from the little adventure you decided to try to get involved into.

You walked slowly getting closer and closer to Sugar Rush and stopped to see where Surge Protector was , you saw him checking some other guys from the next game and took further steps until you crossed the door and rided into Sugar Rush.

Loud…Energetic music started getting louder and louder as you began getting there , and the awfully strong smell of candy also arrived your nose , a bright light shined your eyes as you struggled to adjust your vision and finally opened them to see a candy made fantasy of a game , "dear codes." You said as you got out of the cart and just by the first step , you noticed even the dirt was made of some sort of candy, now… where to even start? You thought as you scanmed and saw some traces of broken candy cane trees. "Bingo" , you began walking between the destroyed path and saw the same crashed ship.. but curiously it had nothing inside , but by the floor there was someone's big foot silhouette that you followed until the trace came to a stop. 

You looked around once again and saw what was a very tall woman and…Felix from fix it felix? , you had met him before , in fact he was the first one to welcome your arrival , and even brought you some pie , but you didn't know him a lot though and by far you two don't hang out but that doesn't stop him to keep smiling and waving at you.

You quickly hid behind a tree, that woman did not seem very happy , in fact she seemed even angry at whatever was going on , but you felt good that you weren't the only one doing an investigation-,  you tried to walk away but stepped on a branch which without any further thought , a loud blast hit the tree and you jumped out of there before the ray hit you , The lady pointed out her gun almost panicking meanwhile Felix nervously tried to guide her to put her gun down. "Don't shoot! It's my friend!" you fell to the ground and closed you eyes as you saw the gun being directed towards you

Felix then guarded you and helped you up.

"Y/n? What are you doing here?" He asked worryingly while you nervously scrambled to get up "I- i was just checking in! Weren't you two doing the same?" , The blonde girl said, "You don't even know what 's going to happen to this game" She scolded you "It's for the better if you return to your little game" … you kinda felt offended "Well! I'm here to know what's going on after all , lady!" , She faced you and god , she was so much taller , meanwhile Felix looked from behind worried of what she might do to you. You tried to seem tough and maintained eye contact with her until she spoke "Hmm , I like your attitude , but don't get used to acting like this in front of me"  "The name's Sergeant Calhoun , Not "Lady"

She faced away and stared into the view meanwhile you let a breath you didn't know you held , "God Felix , your partner sure is scary"

He didn't even seem to listen as he looked at her like she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

You cleared your throat to bring attention , so… "What's going to happen to this game?" , Without looking back Calhoun responded: "That's confiscated" , Felix then got closer to her and started "Aw come on , Don't you think Y/n could help us? I heard they are pretty good at solving mysteries! Maybe all we need is a detective and we could track ralph and-"  

Calhoun stopped him by just looking at him."Alright Mr fix it Felix , if you trust…this "Y/n'' that much , maybe they could help us" , her cold stare landed on you "You right there , take this" as she threw you a radio. "Listen , we'll go to south , you go to east , we'll search for anything that looks suspicious" "This is a very dangerous mission and you could even DIE while on it" She tried to warn you and scare you out of it while walking around menacingly  "do you still want to participate?"

You nervously nodded , Calhoun backed off and shouted "Then go go go go! Don't you just keep standing there!" , "Yes ma'am!" You quickly ran off to the directions she gave

Felix looked at Calhoun with a happy touch "Thanks for letting y/n help" , Calhoun quickly responded "No ,they're not going to help , i sended them to the safest location near that castle where they can't interrupt our mission" 

" The best it can happen is that Y/n gets banned and returns to their game" Felix and Calhoun started walking away in the opposite direction in search of the Cybernetic Beast. 

Meanwhile Y/n saw what was a little town populated with sugar people which at the end of the track there was a huge castle , what kind of things could that place behold for Y/n to learn?.
