Rooster and I top gun maverick story. Rooster endgame

Part 14

Yesterday was crazy. It was also the scariest moment of my life. I thought I lost the only two people I love. But now we are all safe. Since the mission was over we didn't have to go to the academy. But I was going to miss everyone so I asked Rooster if we could throw a party. He said let's do it so we texted all of them. We did it at my house because I live right by the ocean. I made a fire pit out of rocks and put wood in it. I wanted to make this fun. I told Rooster to go get drinks and food while I clean. I put string lights on the back patio so when it's night we can see. While I was doing that I was wondering if I should invite my dad and Penny. I texted Rooster and he said we should so I asked them. They said that they will be coming.  Now I just have to find a outfit. I was probably just going to wear a swimsuit with Jean shorts. It's the easiest way to go. I got dressed and finished cleaning. Once Rooster got back we put the drinks in the cooler and went back inside.

I was teasing him about what he was wearing and he got defensive. It was super funny. I told him I was joking and it looks great on him. He was wearing swim trunks and a Hawaiian shirt. He jumped on me and he started to tickle me. I couldn't stop laughing. Once he was finally done I tried it on him and he had no response. I said " come on!" And he bursted out laughing. He fell to the floor because he was laughing so hard. I followed him and was laughing to hard. We settled down after a fat second and we were still laying there. I rolled closer to him and he got a grip on me and pulled me even more closer. He said "I love you so much Maddie." I looked at him and said "I love you even more Bradley Bradshaw." He rolled over closer and kissed me. That lead to a little make out shesh if you know what I mean. Just then the doorbell rang. We stopped kissing at looked at each other. People weren't supposed to come for another hour. Rooster opened up the door and you'd never guess who it was. My dad. Penny was with him though so that's a plus. Not saying I don't want to see my dad but he ruined the moment.

Since my dad and Rooster finally started talking I got to talk to Penny. She asked how Rooster and I were doing and I said that we were better than ever. I asked her how my dad and her were doing and she said that he's a pain. I laughed and then she said that they were doing great. She said that I hopes he stays this time. That made me kind of sad that she has to hope for that. But I said that he will and he loves you very much. She asked how the first kiss went and my faced turned red. I told her that I was drunk and he didn't even know that I liked him. I also told her that we were in the water. She bursted out laughing and the boys looked at us. We both looked at them and smiled. About an hour past and everyone started to show up. I told them all to head outside. Once we were outside Fanboy turned on music. We all were talking and enjoying our time. But then Phoenix and I took off our shorts and bolted to the water. We were messing around and we saw the whole crew running towards us. Just then someone come up from under me and stood up. I was on Roosters shoulders. I very steadily stood up on his shoulders and jumped off and did a cannonball. It was super fun. I swam back to everyone I put my arms around Rooster. We all were talking and we wanted to play a game. So we of course played chicken. The teams were Rooster and I, Bob and Phoenix, Fanboy and Hangman, Maverick and Penny, Payback and Coyote. We played the first round and my dad and Penny won. The second round Fanboy and Hangman won. The third round Rooster and I finally won. And for the fourth round we decided to switch up people. I was with Payback and Rooster was with my dad. I was super cute those two as a team. Of course they destroyed everyone. We played a few more rounds and decided to be done. We went back to shore and I started the fire.

We played a game of football and then sat around the fire. Rooster wanted me to sit on him so I went to sit on him but I layer down instead. We all were talking and having a drink and it was super fun. I loved this group so much. I said that we play put a finger down for some action. Hangman went first and said "put a finger down if you've ever gotten drunk." I'm pretty sure we all put a finger down. I was a while into the game and all of us had one or two fingers left. Then Fanboy said "put a finger down if you "did it" with someone here." I turned red and slowly put an finger down, so did Rooster. We looked around and saw Bob and Phoenix put a finger down!! My dad and Penny did too! Everyone else was making fun of all of us and we all lost the game. We played a few more games and Fanboy and Payback left. We talked a bit more and Hangman had something to do in the morning so he left. Everyone else started to leave and soon it was only Phoenix, Bob, Rooster and I here. We talked for a hour or so and I asked how they felt putting a finger down for the question. They said the were embarrassed but they don't regret it. I said the same and we all laughed. Soon they left and it was rooster and I. He wanted to go star gazing so we did. It was so peaceful. He sat up and took something out of his pocket. He told me to close my eyes and hold out my hands. He opened the box and put a ring on my finger. It was a promise ring. He said "Maddie I know this isn't a wedding ring but it means as much. I want you to keep this ring to remember that we will never lose each other and we will always stick together." When I said that a tear came down my face. He wiped it off and kissed me. I told him "I love him so much and I will never leave him." He smiled and grabbed my face and kissed it again. We went inside and you know what happens next. Truly a night to remember.
