Rooster and I top gun maverick story. Rooster endgame

Part 2

My dad has been making and repairing a plane. I wish I could help but I'm at the academy. I used to look at the photos on the wall when my dad looks so happy with his friends. But now he's far away from the closest ones he got. It always sucks being so far away from him because I'm all he's got. I have been keeping close contact with Iceman. I have very close friends at the academy. Phoenix has been the closest so far. Rooster isn't a fan of me because of what my dad did to him, but I really want to get to know him. I think I may have a little crush on him. I go up to Phoenix and the bar and she asked how I was doing and I told her everything. She has never lost hope in me. She knows about my little crush on rooster and she always teases me. Phoenix says "how's it going with your rooster." She clucked like a chicken. I couldn't resist that and bursted out laughing. I had a little to much to drink and I was a bit drunk. I try to walk around but I fall. But I fell into someone's arms. Of course it was rooster. I just smiled at him and said "heyyyy roosterrr" I couldn't say it normally. He smiles back and says "how much did you drink?" I said a wee bit. He didn't believe me and went to go to others while still holding on to me so I don't fall over. He looked like he was going to yell at them but he just asked in a stern voice "why would you let her drink this much!" I got a bit sad after that. He was mad because we had to get talked to about a mission. He walks away with me surprisingly and puts me in his car. I was so confused but sense I was drunk I didn't care. He didn't say a word when he was putting me in the car. So, when he started driving I started a conversation. It was the worst thing I could've done. All I said was "sooo who do you think is hot these days?" He looked at me like I was crazy. I said "I know who I'm going to say." He said "and who's that?" I said with a proud smile " you." He just started laughing. I asked why and he said that I'll be to drunk to remember this and your probably just talking to talk. I got sad after that. Then I asked where we were going and he said "my house." My smile has returned. I was a bit worried on how I would act but oh well. When we got there I was asleep even thought it was like a 10 minute ride. He carried me inside and put me down in his bed and rolled his eyes and smiled. He slept on his couch.

The next morning I woke up with a headache. I don't remember anything. He came to get me because we had to go to the academy. I asked where my phone was and he said phoenix has it. I was worried that my dad was texting me. I told him if I said anything embarrassing last night but he never answered. All he did was just smiled. I told him that tonight I'm taking him to get food. He told me no but I insisted. I just rolled his eyes. He gave me a ride to the academy and we split ways. I went to talk to phoenix and he went somewhere else. She wouldn't stop talking about how I spend the night at his house. Or how he took care of me when she was going to do that. Then she give me my phone. I looked at the notifications and it was from my dad. He said that he was coming to the Academy to teach. I was so excited to see him. But I was also worried about rooster. I knew they had a bad relationship.

We were done with training and rooster waited outside for me. He got in my car and we drove to the restaurant. I was so happy but at the same time scared. I started the conversation but I went to dust. I tried to start a new one and I asked if he thought he was going to get picked for the mission and he said "I sure hope so but I don't want to jinx it." I said " I know you will make it you just have to believe in yourself." The conversation kept going and we got to the restaurant and went to our seats. We ordered our food fairly quickly and we just talked about life. Soon the conversation came to our dads. He told me he was still pissed at my dad for what he did. I told him that I understand that and I would be mad too. We kept talking and I asked  "do you have any good memories with your dad?" He said when he would sing and dance with me. I smiled  and I felt so bad. All I could say was I'm sorry. He told  me to not be sorry because I didn't do anything. But I couldn't stop thinking about it. We ate our food and realized our friends were at a bar. So we decided to go to the bar. When we got there we were laughing and having fun but then I saw my dad.
