Chap. 1

Camilla was cooking dinner in the kitchen, when she heard knocking on her door. 

She expected a ding dong ditch, but when she opened the door, she gasped. 

Outside was her daughter, Luz, and some friends she didn't know of. 

"Hey mom" spoke Luz "I'm back!" 

"Luz...? Is that really you? Come in!" Said her mother as she urged them inside. 

Luz entered, then the rest followed. 

"Mom, these are my friends! That's Amity, my girlfriend if you don't mind-" she pointed at the cotton candy haired goddess "-That's Willow-" she pointed at the Flying Derby Captain "- That's Augustus, or Gus-" she pointed at the Illusion Master "And that's Hunter!" She finally pointed at the Golden Guard. 

"Nice to meet you, Luz' friends! I'm Camilla, but feel free to call me Mrs. Noceda" she greeted "Noiw, the camp directors at your summer camp say you were doing amazing there and-" 

"Mom, I didn't go to camp" Luz said suddenly. She explained about Hexide and Belos trying to drain them of their magic at the Day of Unity. By pure luck, she believed them. 

"You kiddos stay here while I find you guys a safe camp for the meantime" said Camilla "And drink some stew while you're at it"

The next few weeks were better than the last. The weather cleared up, and the worry faded away. 

Although, Hunter was a bit worried. 

Belos was trying to kill him, just because he ran away from the palace. And also because he was in the emperor's mind with the human, Luz. 

And plus, he couldn't let anyone know that he's a grimwalker, either. He thinks they'll hate him for it. 

But, Willow was allways there to comfort him. 

This isn't why he fell for her, it was because of her flying derby skills. He did think that she was a good candidate for the emperors coven. 

Willow would always think of the best resolutions to his problems, and he was glad to have her as a friend. He did want more than that, but was just afraid to confess to her. 

Sometimes, he would talk to his palismen, Flapjack (Yes, he took him along) when he wants some comfort about the grimwalker thing. His panic faded away quickly as the next weeks flew by. 

Luz' mom still hasn't found a suitable camp, but lets the kids do whatever they want, especially Gus since he was the youngest. 

Him and Luz would sometimes fight on who the favorite kid is, when it was obviously Amity, who was a mixture of tough and soft at the same time. 

After the Gus and Luz fight, she would usually cuddle with Amity for comfort, with a few kisses. 

Camilla doesn't mind, she just teases her about her girlfriend. And Luz was getting used to it at this point.

One month later the group was called into the living room, Luz' mother looked surprisingly joyful. 

"Great news kiddos!" She announced "I found a camp for you to stay at!"

"Really?" Said Willow eagerly "Where?" 

"Camp Dionisus!" Camilla said exitedly. 

"But ma, isn't that place expensive?" Asked Luz worriedly. 

"I explained your situation, and they have a vacancy for 10 kiddos! They also gave us a 50% discount" she explained. 

A second later, they all started packing, and drove off to camp.
