Beep... Beep... Beep...
Anti groaned as he woke up. He immediately shot up, looking around and hyperventilating. Why was he alive?! Why was he on the street?! Was he dead? In limbo? In hell?
He took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. "Alright, first things first- where the fook am I?" He mumbled, getting up and dusting himself off. He looked around; the place was eerily familiar. "I'm... At that weird furniture store!" He recalled that this place was only a few blocks away from the Septics'. "Why am I here?"
"We would also like to know that."
A woman walked up to Anti, hand on her hip and a smirk playing on a smile. Anti was hit with nostalgia, but he didn't know why. "Who are you?"
She scoffed, "well, that's not a very good way to say 'hello', you didn't even bother to introduce yourself first?" Anti snarled, "fuck off! You have something to do with this, don't ya?!" He ignored the strange looks people gave him. "Hmm... Nah." "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'NAH'?! BITCH-!" She snorted at him. "Alright, alright. I'll stop messing with you."
"You're... Sleeping. In a way." "How does that help?! You are just raising more questions! WHY AREN'T I DEAD?! Did you do this?!" The woman looked down at him to make eye contact. "No. I didn't do this- I'm here to help."
"H-help...?" He couldn't bring himself to question her further. He felt a lump in his throat and was shaking uncontrollably. Her red eyes were more dazzling than any ruby could ever be, but certainly too terrifying to be truly compared to one. A red aura wove around her, highlighting her black dress. She gave off the feeling of superiority- the definition of boss bitch.
"You're scaring him!" A more friendly voice sounded. It was lighter and more masculine. Anti turned to see behind the woman was a man and a... 'WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THAT THING?! THAT'S NOT FUCKING HUMAN!' "Well, neither are you, my friend." a deep, rumbling voice came from the... Thing. "Yeah, well-!"
'Wait.' He paused, looking the Thing up and down, 'I didn't...' "Say that out loud? I know. No worries, love." Anti shuffled backwards. These wackos weren't people to be messed with, that much he knew.
The man was a youthful-looking fellow, he looked good. He had a calming blue aura and eyes, complimented by the snow. 'Wait, it's snowing? What the fuck?' He shook his head and glared at the Thing. It took the figure of a man, but looked more like a shadow. It had white lines seemingly highlighting the details of a suit identical to the man's.
"What... The fuck ar-are you?" Anti wasn't just talking to the Thing. The woman smirked and took a step closer, lifting his chin. He found himself cowering unconsciously, taking a step back. "We're souls."
That did it.
He stopped everything for a minute, just looking into her eyes fearfully. "Uh... I don't think that's the best way to-" Before the man could finish, Anti regathered himself and did the sensible thing.
He ran in the opposite direction.
