"Hey, Henny~!"

"Oh, dear god, vhat do you vant, child?"

"Hey! I'm not a kid! And how do you know I want something?"

"I know you, Anti. Vhat is it?"

"I got you something, pop-star!"

"Oh?"

"Look! I painted you!"

"Vhere did you get zhe money for a canvas?"

"I have a job! I've got to spend the money on something!"

"You should be saving zhat money vor an apartment!"

"i don't want to..."

"Anti..."

"..."

"Jeez... You did good, stop pouting! I'll take zhe picture!"

-----------------------------

"...Pop-star!"

"Are you ever going to let go of zhat nickname?"

"You get to call me child, I get to call you pop-star! Plus, I know you like it!"

"You're right."

"What?"

"You're right."

"Aw~! You DO care, old man!"

"Heh. Of course I do. No doubt about it, child."

------------------------------

"I love you, child."

-------------------------------

Anti awoke with a jolt.

'Why'd I dream about that crap?'

Tap, tap, tap.

"Hmm?"

"Anti? Are you there?"

Anti stretched, laying back down for a minute before glitching out.

"What's up?" Anti didn't bother asking how Dark found him- he always found a way.

"...Follow me." Dark grabbed his wrist and began dragging him to a more secluded area. "What's wrong?" "..." "Dark?" Dark ignored him and looked around, making sure no one was looking. He then teleported them to Dark's office. "What the?!" Anti wrenched his wrist away from Dark, "listen, if this is about me moving in, you already know my answer-"

Anti saw the look in Dark's eyes.

Not amusement.

Not pleading.

Not even pity.

It was... Sorrow?

Anti felt as if he was numb. He knew something bad was happening.

He felt like there was a brick in his stomach.

His chest was on fire, his senses suddenly sharpening and the hairs on the back of his neck rose.

"Is... Is everyone okay? Did something happen to the kids?!" Anti knew the answer was obvious- they were fine. They aren't the ones he should be worried about, but he couldn't help it.

"They're... They're fine... But... Anti." Dark's voice cracked, and Anti panicked. "Just... Read this."

Anti's hands shook as he grabbed the paper.

Did he want to?

He had no choice.

"Dear Anti...

I know I haven't been around for a while, and I'm sorry. It's not your fault, just know that. I had to protect you. I had to look into it, so I could clear your name, child.

Just know it wasn't your fault.

It's not your fault.

I knew what I was getting into.

I love you, child.

I always have. And I always will. Until the day I..."

"I don't... I don't understand."

"Anti..."

"What the fuck is he talking about?!"
