I'm in a Pokemon RP and my trainer character was just excited/surprised and I was tempted to write "her ears pricked up" but then I told myself "roseh this isn't a Warrior Cat RP this is a POKEMON TRAINER. PEOPLE DO NOT CHANGE THE POSITION OF THEIR EARS WHEN THEY'RE EXCITED" and then I had to think for a couple minutes about what people do when they're slightly surprised so I just stuck with "her eyes lit up"
