Hey y'all, sorry that this one is so short. I had to say goodbye to a really good friend of mine today (they are moving across the country) and so I wasn't really in the mood to write, especially not about heartbreak. However, it is here! So have some Ladrien angst.                                                                -Colorado

Ladybug was feeling strangely optimistic. She had a plan this time. Things would be different this time! Hiding behind her mask, she would actually have the confidence to say the words she's always wanted to say.

Today was the way she would ask out Adrien Agreste.

She knew that was a large statement. It was something that she had wanted to do since she met the man. After no less than 329 failed plans to get her to hold a conversation with the man, she knew that today was the day. She had put her lucky socks on, and perfected her speech.

What could possibly go wrong?

It all started with one simple action: Ladybug knocking on his glass window panes.

Her and Adrien had struck up a tentative friendship after they had gotten stuck during an akuma attack. About once a week, Ladybug would swing out by his house to say hi. She knew that his home life wasn't the best, and she wanted to be another source of support. Even if she couldn't always be there all the time, it might be helpful to have a superhero on his side.

Over the course of the past month or two, her weekly visits had turned into nearly daily. And throughout time, Ladybug had begun to believe that maybe Adrien had feelings for her, too. There were moments when she caught him staring at her or sometimes he would blush around her. Every so often, he would say a flirty line or two before instantly backpedaling.

So Ladybug had come to the reasonable conclusion, after consulting Tikki, that he most likely had a celebrity crush on her. And hey! She could work easily with a celebrity crush.

Ladybug took in a deep breath, and waved over to him. Adrien went to let her in, but there was a look on his face that Ladybug didn't necessarily like. While he normally greeted her with a smile, there was a large frown on his face. She immediately knew that something was wrong, and she was terrified to learn what that would be.

"Hey, Ladybug." He gave her a small grin as she entered his room.

"Hey, Adrien. Is everything alright?"

"Fine! Fine, why would anything be wrong?"

"You seem upset."

"Nah, don't worry about it, okay? It's not a big deal." He tried to reassure her.

"But there is something." Ladybug put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm here for you Adrien, if you want to talk about it."

"No, it's okay. I just want things to seem normal for right now. Maybe I'll tell you later, but it's really not that big of a deal."

"If you insist."

"Trust me, on this, I'm fine." Adrien sat down on the couch, patting the seat next to him. "So, what brings the lovely Ladybug around?"

"You think I'm lovely?" She said, blushing the slightest bit.

"Duh." The smile on his face only added to her growing suspicions. God, she hoped that he liked her back.

"Well, I just thought I would stop by and see how you were doing. I saw on the news the other day that your father is going to make some big announcement soon."
