Adrien was absent. Again. Marinette tried to not show her worry, but she knew that he wouldn't skip school if it wasn't absolutely necessary. He didn't have any shoots or extracurriculars that would get in the way. So what in the world was he doing out?

"Psst, Nino." Marinette tapped him on the shoulder.

"Yeah?" He whispered back, trying not to get caught by Mme. Bustier.

"Where's Adrien?"

"He's out sick, dudette."

"Out sick?" Marinette shrieked.

"Marinette! No conversations in class." Mme. Bustier scolded her.

"Sorry, Mme. Bustier." She muttered.

Adrien was sick, huh? Maybe a certain someone needed to pay him a special visit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adrien hated his life. Not only was he sick, but he was missing school! All he could do was stay in bed all day. If Nathalie saw him up, she would undoubtedly make him attend whatever his dad scheduled for him. That wouldn't include school, of course. He was well enough to go to back to back photo shoots, but Heaven forbid he goes through one history lecture.

It reminded him of the days before he went to school. Those memories weren't exactly fond ones, so reliving them wasn't fun. The days were drab and he just wished he could go to school. Or at least see Nino.

At least he had Plagg. If it weren't for his kwami, Adrien was sure that he would've gone mad. Luckily, his chaos was just enough to keep him in good spirits. Even if he had to miss out on patrol with Ladybug.

Knock knock.

Speak of the devil, although Ladybug was far from the devil. Adrien hurried over to let her in.

"Ladybug, hey!" His mood had already improved by just seeing her.

"Hey, Adrien. I heard that you were sick." She gave him an angelic smile.

"Y-yeah. Just a cold though, don't worry. How'd you figure it out?"

"One of your friends, Marinette, told me that you were sick. I figured you could use a bit of cheering up."

"O-oh, thank you, Ladybug."

"Anytime, Adrien. So, how are you feeling today?"

"I've got a slight cough, and a really sore throat. Other than that, I'm fine. I just didn't want to deal with the busy schedule that Nathalie would subject me to." Adrien rolled his eyes.

"That bad, huh?" Ladybug hissed.

"You've got no idea." Adrien sighed, flopping down onto his couch. "I appreciate you stopping by, though."

"I know, it's been a little bit. I'm sorry, things just got really hectic."

"No, don't worry, I totally understand. Things must be insane for Mlle. Ladybug."
