'~Okay! First chapter, let's go!~'
A brunette scratched the side of their face, smudging their face with some oil. He huffed out a tired sigh before he shut the hood of the jeep. "Alright, all done Ma'am!" Milo said as he wiped his hand on a rag.
A woman with frizzy heather purple hair perked up from waiting by the couch. She stood up and handed Milo the cash without a word. "Thank you, and drive safe," Milo waved as the woman gave him a curt nod.
He watched as the woman drove out of his garage and gave him a friendly wave before driving off into the Nevadan desert.
Milo sighed and saw the red sky turning dim. 'I guess I should close up shop,' Milo thought as he pressed the button to close up his garage door.
He went over to one of his drawers and grabbed a roll of bandages. 'Best to get these changed,' Milo thought as he grabbed a pair of scissors to help get the bandages off much quicker. He sliced it from his wrist and up to his palm.
The bandages loosened and dropped to his lap exposing his mangled hand. It was mere dead skin, only nerves and bones. He doesn't really feel much pain, but he can still somewhat identify textures. It just overwhelms him sometimes. He was quick to pull the rest of the bandages off his bony fingers to quickly wrap them up in new ones. He did the same to his other hand, tucking the last bit underneath a layer.
Just as he was clenching and unclenching his hands to make sure they were still durable, he felt his phone buzz in his fanny pack that was slung over his shoulder.
Milo unzipped it and shuffled miscellaneous items around before finally fishing his phone out. He hastily answered and pressed it against his ear. "Hello?" He nervously muttered into the mic, hoping whoever on the other end wasn't too mad about being a few seconds late.
"Hello Milo," A husky voice said. Milo perked up and he couldn't help but smile, recognizing the voice. "Ah, 2BDamned! Haven't heard from you for a while, how are ya?" Milo asked putting aside the scissors. "Oh you know, just moving around here and there trying not to get caught by the AAHW. What about you?" 2BDamned said cooly.
"Oh I'm fine, just closed up. The business is doing great. Still can't thank you enough for lending me this garage sir," Milo nodded. "Please, it was the least I could do, since you weren't too comfortable with trying out new occupations, heheh," 2BDamned chuckled into the phone.
"So, what do you need sir? A tune-up? A special assignment for me?" Milo asked leaning into his couch.
"Oh right, I was just wondering if you could um, take a look at this truck I got. My boys here really fucked it up on their last mission," 2BDamned huffed.
"Of course, I can, want me to come over there or are you coming here?" Milo asked standing up to head inside. "I'll be coming over, I need to talk to ya about something anyway," 2BDamned said. Milo nodded, "Alright then, you can come on over anytime you like tomorrow and I'll fix it right up for ya!"
"Thank you, I knew I could count on you Milo," 2BDamned smiled under his mask.
"Aww come on, it's nothing. 'Sides you probably have hundreds of other mechanics in Status Quo," Milo waved a hand dismissively.
"Heh, I know but I like you more Milo. So, I'll see you say... 5 in the afternoon?" 2BDamned asked. "Yup, sounds great. See you then sir," Milo chuckled before he heard the phone beep out of the call.
Milo locked his garage door and dragged his sledgehammer all the way up to his room. 'I wonder if he'll still have his mohawk,' Milo thought to himself, recalling the last time he has seen 2BDamned.
It had been a while after all.
'~A bit short, I know but I swear there'll be more words in the next chapter.~'
