you hum, looking down at the watch over eleven's wrist.
eleven paces nervously, "three-one-five. three-one-five"
your attention turns to the gate as a cat meows.
eleven looks at the cat.
the cat hisses angrily.
you crouch down, eyes shining a bit.
you reach your hand out to pet the cat, it hisses and spits, smacking it's paw on the back of your hand, scratching you.
your eyes go wide, filling with tears.
you grab eleven's pant leg, waving your injured hand a bit and crying.
you rub your eyes with a balled up fist, still waving your injured hand about.
eleven frowns down at you worriedly.
she looks back as dustin, lucas and mike arrive.
"what happened?" mike asks worriedly.
your hand starts to heal and you rub both of your eyes.
