I sat on the train. All the cabins were full so I sat in a regular seat. Everyone already had friends, somehow. But I simply couldn't get the courage to speak to anyone. Anyone at all.

All I could do was to look out the window and enjoy the nature outside of the moving train.

'Uhm. Sorry, have you seen a.. toad?'.

I turned away from the window and saw a girl in my age. Her hair was frizzy and she already wore her robe.

'What?'. I pushed through my mouth and looked at her curious.

The girl cleared her throat. 'A boy named Neville's lost one. Apparently..'.

'Oh. Sorry then. Haven't seen one'. I answered and the girl kept on walking; asking other students.

We was greeted by a woman in green. She had a hat on, it was pointy. Her dress almost touching the stone floor.

"Alright. In a few minutes you'll walk through these doors and get sorted in to your houses".

I knew everything about the wizarding world. Many of the students here were born in a wizarding family, or one of their parents were a wizard and the other a muggle. But in my case; both of my parents were magic.

"There are Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor and Slytherin". The elder woman said.

Behind me I could hear boys whisper to each other. One of them said that there wasn't a witch or wizard in Slytherin that hadn't gone bad. I shivered.

"Before we enter, i'll have to leave you for a few minutes. Now each and everyone of you stay right where you are. Don't want to find you dead". Said the woman as she walked away.

One boy walked up to where she had been standing. "Is it true? Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts".

I looked around, everyone did and whispered as well. I had no idea of who Harry Potter was. But according from everyone's reactions. He was special somehow.

"So what?". A boy with orange hair said and stood in front of another boy with dark brown hair.

"Oh. A Weasley is it?". The blonde said and scuffed.

There was no answer. But I could see that the boy with orange hair looked embarrassed. Once again, I had no idea who he was. Nor the boy who stood up and spoke.

The woman came back. Everyone turned deadly silent. She pushed opened the doors and I could see many students sitting by four different tables looking our way. The woman walked first and then us. Up front stood an old man with a big white beard and white long hair. His beard was up in a ponytail looking thing. Everyone seemed to whisper about things, about him. But I had no idea who he was, as with everyone.
My parents hadn't told me about any other wizards, they had just learnt me other stuff.

"Now. When I call your names you're gonna come up front and I'll place this hat on your head. It'll speak your houses and you will walk to your table joining your classmates".

I prepared myself. Hopefully I would be able to be by myself and not talk to anyone. But I didn't know.

The woman started calling out names. The first person to step up was the girl from the train. Her name was Hermione Granger and she was sorted in Gryffindor house. She got extremely happy.

"Aria Goldstein". The woman called and everyone looked around. I quickly walked up and sat down. As the hat was placed on my head i looked at the students. I catch eye contact with a boy. He looked older that me.

Everyone applauded. Crap. I didn't listen and missed what house I got.

"Uhm sorry. I wasn't focused". I mumbled to the woman. She smiled at me kindly and whispered to me.

"You're in Ravenclaw, dear". Her fingers pointed at a table by the wall to our right.

I nodded carefully and walked over to the table. As more people got sorted I catched eye contact with him again. My stomach started to tingle and my face was lit up in a smile.

I caught myself smiling and immediately stopped. Why would I always embarrass myself?
