Me and Cho were visiting Hogsmead. She wanted to buy a dress for the yuleball and I followed as her friend, and for an extra hand. While she looked at dresses I quickly looked for the bookshop I had wanted to visit and when I found it I entered. It was dark, tall bookshelves were covering all of the walls.

"Good evening". Said an elder man with brown hair. I assumed he worked here and was only trying to be polite to his customers. I nodded his way and kept on looking. My hands sweeping over the backs of the books until my eyes stopped on a special one.

"How much is this?". I said and showed the man a book. It was Romeo and Juliet, very romantic. Actually, I didn't know it existed in the wizarding world, but apparently-.

The elder man took a look at the book, "That's very old. If you buy another book you'll have that for free". I smiled at him and let the romance lay on the desk as I looked for another one. Just after a few minutes I found another book I thought would be rather, interesting. I grabbed it and put it over the other. "What about this?".

"This is very old, also, you take them both for free, miss".

I found myself quite very lucky to have gotten two amazing books for free. The man working there was nice, I thought to myself on my way back.

I hurried across Hogsmead and entered the shop where Cho was looking for dresses. I saw her standing outside a old, cranky, fitting room and looking in a mirror.

"It's gorgeous". Said I and smiled at my friend. "How much is it?". I asked and Cho smiled.

"It's enough. Will you try something on?".

I sighted, first of all, I didn't have any money to spend on these sort of things, and I had looked forward to wearing my mother's old ball dress. "I'm sorry, Cho, I already have a dress", The girl looked disappointed.

"Well, just try something on. That can't hurt".

And she was right, we had a lot of fun trying on dresses and laughing at each other. The tension between us had finally let go a little, at least for now. Cho decided to go with a red dress, it was long and slim with small roses as decorations. She had long sleeves and black shoes to go along with it.

"Who's you're date?". I asked her on our way back to the castle. "I mean, if you have one".

She looked at me, "I don't know. Maybe I'll ask Cedric. But we've broken up, so that would be nothing but weird".

I tried my best to comfort her, but my heart stared to pump faster and harder until I could feel it in my chest. "Come on let's see if we can look at some hot Slytherins, alright?".

*

We walked to our dormitory first to leave Cho's new belongings, then we sneaked out, since it was past curfew, and to where Slytherin boys always hangs out.

"Look how nice they look". I said and Cho agreed, I couldn't help but to think that her face was lit up with a smile when she saw Draco Malfoy. A bit weird, my opinion, but what could I say?

Cho turned to look at me and pushed us both down so we sat on the ground, "I have a brilliant idea!". Said she and started to explain it to me speaking very quietly.

So, the plan was for her to say hey and then Malfoy would spend time her her, so that she had a date for the ball. "But, Cho, are you sure this will work.?". I questioned since it was quite very dumb.

She nodded, "It's brilliant, but, you have to stand with me when I saw hi.". I nodded as an answer and quickly we stood up.

"Hey!". Said Cho and bent down, leaving me, alone. I panicked as all the boys were looking at me wondering the heck I was doing.

Malfoy walked up to me and his hair moved like silk, "What you want, mudblood?". I gasped. I knew people had used to say that, many many years ago, not now. But what should I expect from a Malfoy?

My voice was shaky, high pitch almost, "Eerr". I couldn't find any words, Cho had disappeared, leaving me again. "Will you, eer, go to the yuleball with, err, Cho..?". My sentence was so dumb, I almost wanted to laugh. The boy looked at me odd, "Well of course you don't have to!". I clarified. The boy nodded.

"I'll go with you, not Chang, always found her.. weird". Said Malfoy and started walking away, I didn't quite understand what he meant and stood still watching him. "Well? Coming or not?". Said he and I hurried to get to his side.

*

We walked in the forbidden forest, his blazer around my shoulders, leaving himself to freeze. "You know I asked about, her? Right?". I mumbled and looked as a small cloud of air left my mouth as I spoke.

Malfoy nodded and opened his mouth to do as I did, a cloud of air leaving his mouth. "That's why I want to go with you, as friends, of course". I nodded, though I wouldn't really say we were friends. We walked around the forest and then sat down by the black lake. The grass was frosty and cold to sit on, but we didn't care, we sat there talking, getting to know each other, for an hour maybe. I liked it, making a new friend, maybe that was Cho's plan from the beginning?

"Draco?". I said and turned my head away from the lake, the black lake.

"Uhuh?". Said he and closed his eyes, leant his head back and feeling my touch on himself.

I swallowed, "Draco there's someone there, in the water". My index finger pointed at the lake, at a bump sticking up from the water. A head. The boy looked up and reached for his wand.

"Just in case". Said he and I nodded, crawled up by his side just to feel a little, safer.

*

Draco had fallen asleep, I sat holding his wand and protecting us with my life, from the head that had moved closer to us. Being directly where the water began, still, meters away from us. But I panicked, shook Draco's body as much as I could and he woke up with a rush. "The fuck you doing, Goldstein?!". Said he angrily and i pushed his wand to his chest. Draco looked out at the water, seeing the, now, fully exposed deatheater. Malfoy knew who it was, Fenrir Greyback.

"Greyback, leave, you can't be here". He said and stood up as the man walked closer to us. I stood up and started backing away.

"Malfoy boy, the dark lord will be happy to hear about your girlfriend". Greyback pointed his wand at me. Then twitched it at me.

I didn't catch up on what spell it was, but I felt a hit at my head and then everything went black.
