"Why was it worse?" Akihiro asked.

"Omega are very delicate when they are expecting. Most of their energy is used to ensure their pup's welfare so they need to be taken care of during this time. They are very vulnerable to anything and everyone around them. For example, if an alpha tried to harm an expecting omega that omega would naturally submit to that alpha to protect their young whether said omega was mated to that alpha or not," Iruka said.

"I was surprised when your mothers didn't submit to those shinobi. It would have put less strain on their bodies but if they had submitted, the elders would have either taken the four of you away from them or forced them to mate with any suitor of their choice," Iruka said.

"Why would they force mom and uncle Naruto to marry someone they don't know or even like?" Akihiro asked with a frown.

"If a mated omega is expecting and somehow their mate passed away, that omega would immediately be married off to the next available suitor. According to the elders, this is done to make sure that the child is raised in a proper environment, one with an alpha and omega," Iruka said as he rolled his eyes.

"Why would they take us away?" Akihiko asked.

"No alpha would let their pregnant omega go off to god knows where without someone with them, so if an alpha were to let their pregnant omega go, there must be something very wrong with that omega. Therefore, that omega is not fit to raise a child. That child is then taken away for their protection," Iruka replied.

Hearing this, the four adolescent alpha tensed. The idea that someone could think that there was something wrong with their mother and uncle was simply unthinkable.

"Your mothers are amazing. Based on how weak they were when I found them, the fact that they recovered in a matter of days and that they were able to carry the four of you without any complications is amazing. When you were born with your ten little toes and ten little fingers...it was the happiest day of my life," Iruka said as he dried his eyes.

"I couldn't have been happier. I had three beautiful sons and four even more beautiful grandpups. I was happy. I am happy. I got to raise you, teach you, train you and love you like any omega dreams of doing with their pup. My only regret is that I raised you here," Iruka said to which the quads frowned.

"Now, now don't get me wrong," Iruka said soothingly, "I am very grateful to this place and it will always be our home but I want you to have a normal childhood. I already failed your mother and uncles but I have a chance to make it up to them with the four of you."

"Once we move, the four of you are going to see what the outside world is like. You're going to go to school, you'll make a lot of friends and if we're lucky, you'll meet members of your clan who can help you with your second gender. We don't want you grow up thinking that the world is a bad place. We want you to see all the good it has to offer," Iruka said.

"Grandpa, what if the world outside is worse than the world inside the village?" Akihiko asked.

"Then we strive to make it better. We won't know what type of place the world is if spend our lives confined to this village," Iruka said.

"Right," the quads said in unison.

"Come on, we need to get back to training. We need to get you ready for the chunin exams," Iruka said as he stood up. The quads got up as well and continued with their training.

As Iruka trained the quads, his lesson mainly focused on how to utilise chakra and chakra control. This training was to help them refine their chakra control and the way they utilise chakra. It didn't take long for the quads to get a hang of it but their techniques were a little...

Iruka watched the quads train and smiled when one of them managed to make it up the tree.

'They remind me of little Shino; too proud to show their excitement,' Iruka thought smiling. Then it suddenly hit him.

"Shino!" Iruka shouted.

'I let my baby go out into the forest at nightfall where the feral wolves could do god knows what to him!' Iruka thought as he started to hyperventilate.

"Wow, that took longer than expected," Akihiko said staring at his grandpa.

"I know right," Ai said.

"I didn't expect him to take it this well," Akihiro said.

"What do you think he's going to do now?" Aiko asked.

Just then, they heard the feral wolves howl. To which they all tensed. Naruto and Kurama came out of the house when the smell of Iruka's distress flooded the surrounding area.

"What's wrong with your grandpa?" Naruto asked.

"Uncle Shino is outside the barrier," Akihiko replied.

"Why?" Kurama asked trying to calm the distressed omega by releasing his pheromones.

"He wanted to do some recon on the north side of the forest," Akihiro replied.

"Naruto try to calm mother. He's less likely to lash out if it's you," Kurama said.

Naruto approached the panicked Iruka whilst releasing his pheromones to calm him.

"Mama wouldn't it be easier to go out and look for uncle Shino?" Akihiro asked.

"No, that'll just make your grandpa worry more," Kurama replied.

Just then Iruka stopped panicking and took out his kunai.

"Mother what's wrong?" Naruto asked when Iruka took out his kunai.

"Get ready," Iruka said taking his fighting stance.

To which everyone followed his lead. Then Shino made his way through the barrier with two alpha behind him.

"Reinforce the barrier!" Shino yelled as he closed the opening in the barrier.

Everyone focused their chakra on the barrier.

"Shino what--"

Naruto's question was cut off by feral wolves pounding on the barrier.

"Kurama calm them," Iruka said.

Kurama released his pheromones and aimed them at the feral wolves. Slowly the humanoid creatures' pounding lessened.

"Shino immobilize them," Iruka said.

Shino sent out his insects which stung and paralysed the feral wolves. When the feral wolves fell to the ground Iruka extended the barrier to allow the feral wolves inside the barrier with them, then he cloaked the barrier making their house invisible from outside. This meant that if the captured feral wolves' pack mates came looking for them they wouldn't be able to find them.

"Naruto make a path for the feral wolves to follow when they wake up," Iruka said.

Naruto created a few shadow clones and sent them outside the barrier. Each shadow clone created a trail of pheromones the feral wolves would follow when they woke up.
