Chapter 24

"Hurry up you guys! We had a whole week to pack you know!" Naruto yelled as he waited for his family to come outside.

"We're coming! We just need to get a few more things!" Ai yelled.

"Is it me or are they getting louder?" Kurama asked as he covered his ears.

"Mama did you see where I put the scroll with all our medical supplies?!" Aiko yelled.

"Look for it in your room!" Naruto yelled.

"Nope, they are definitely getting louder," Shino said as he put the last of the summoning scrolls in his bag.

"Come on, we need to go outside before Naruto destroys our eardrums," Iruka said as he made his way outside followed by Akihiko and Akihiro.

"Finally!" Naruto exclaimed when he saw the others walk through the door.

"Where are Ai and Aiko?" Shino asked.

"We're here!" Ai said as she and Aiko appeared behind Kurama.

"You two take after Shino way too much," Kurama said.

"What's wrong with that?" Aiko asked.

"Is everyone packed and ready?" Iruka asked.

"Yes," the quads replied.

"Remember, even though the Hoekage has made some arrangements for us, it will take us a while to get proper jobs so we can't afford to leave anything behind," Iruka said.

"Right, so we should use what we have sparingly," Kurama said.

"We need to split up. Dan is waiting for the four of you at his office. The four of us will meet up with you and Dan in the Land of Fire that means we won't see each other for a while," Iruka said.

"It's a two-week journey so we won't hear from each other for a maximum of fourteen days," said Akihiko.

"Nothing more than that. Deal?" Akihiro asked.

"Deal," they all agreed.

"I'm going to miss this place," Kurama said as he stared at their home for thirteen years.

"We have a lot of happy memories here," Naruto said as he hugged Shino's arm.

"Don't worry, Dan will take good care of it when we leave," Shino said.

"Well, it is his home too in some ways," Iruka said as he hugged Kurama.

'Omega are strange,' the quads thought as they watched their mother, grandfather and uncles.

"Hey, if you guys start getting emotional, we'll be late," Ai said.

"Oh right, we won't see each other for fourteen days!" Kurama said which prompted the four omega to surround the quads in a group hug.

"Mama, you are squishing us!" Akihiko said as he tried to get out of the group hug.

"We're going to be late!" Akihiro said.

"Fine," Iruka said as they let go of the quads. "Just know we love you."

"And we'd do anything for," Kurama said.

"We are proud of you, no matter what," Shino said.

"And we are going to miss you all so much!" Naruto said as he and the other omega got teary eyed.

"Stop it!" the quads yelled in unison as they tried to hide their embarrassment.

"But you're so cute when you get all embarrassed and flustered," Kurama said making the quads frown.

"You guys are no fun," Naruto said making the other omega laugh.

"We're leaving!" the quads said as they made their way out of the barrier.

"They'll be fine don't worry," Iruka said as he tried to reassure himself and his children.

"Yes they will," the three omega responded as they watched the quads leave.

"Now, we wait for their signal then make our move," Iruka said.

Meanwhile, the quads made their way out of the forest towards Dan's office. When they got there they found Dan already waiting for them with eight other genin.

"Good, you made it. That means you're all here. Arakan, Arata, Arisu, Asa, Asami, Asuka, Atsushi and Au these four are Akihiro, Akihiko, Ai and Aiko. They will be taking part in the chunin exams with you," Dan said then he took out a scroll and read the team assignments.

"The twelve of you will be split into four teams of three. Arakan, Arata and Akihiro will be on the same team. Arisu, Asa and Akihiko will be on the same team. Asami, Asuka and Ai will be on the same team. And finally Atsushi, Au and Aiko will be on the same team," Dan said then he put away his scroll and looked at the four genin before him.

"From here on out, you are to maintain these teams until the end of the exams. You are to protect and help one another. You are to treat one another with respect regardless of your second gender and you are to act in a manner befitting a shinobi. Am I clear?" Dan asked.

"Yes alpha!" the twelve genin responded.

"Good."

"Botan, Bunko, Chiasa and Chieko are you ready?" Dan asked as four shinobi appeared behind him.

"Yes alpha!" they responded.

"Let's get going then," Dan said as he headed towards the village gates.

Then the four shinobi disappeared.

"Um...lord Dan, where did those four go?" Arisu asked as she and her fellow genin followed Dan.

"Don't worry about them, they are around here somewhere," Dan said dismissive tone.

"Will they be coming with us?" Arisu asked.

"Yes they will. They are my personal guards, they go wherever I go," Dan replied.

As they all walked towards the village gates, the villagers gathered around, cheering, throwing flowers and wishing them luck.

"What's with them?" Akihiro asked his voice low so the villagers wouldn't hear.

"It's not every day a little village such as this gets invited to take part in the chunin exams with the five great nations," Akihiko replied.

"They are excited. If we win, the village might get some recognition," Ai said.

"And who knows, it might get more tourists which would be good for business," Aiko said.

"Hn, but it's still creepy to see them smile at us," Akihiro said.

"Well, they do have to smile at us. We are walking with the village leader after all," Akihiko said.

"Yeah and after his rampage last week, they might still be afraid," Ai said making Dan tense up.

"Who wouldn't be? Two whole weeks have passed and you can still feel the killer intent radiating off him," Aiko said.

'Killer intent?' Dan thought as he looked at the villagers then saw the slightly fearful smiles directed at him.

'I wasn't that bad was I?' Dan thought as he directed a sheepish smile back at the villagers.
