Kakashi just watched the family play together. Their roughhousing led to them falling in the river. This then led to them sitting around the campfire so they wouldn't catch a cold. Iruka would kill Dan if the quads got sick under his care. Since Dan used his shadow clones while he was playing with the quads he managed to escape falling in the river. He and Kakashi just used this time to get dinner started while the quads warmed themselves up.
"I see you fell for the quads' puppy dog eyes." said Dan as he eyed all the shopping bags. Kakashi just cleared his throat to hide his embarrassment. "Your grandkids can be very convincing." said Kakashi as he sighed at the memory of Aiko haggling with a weapons smith. "They have a strange fascination with blades." said Kakashi. "They get that from Kurama." said Dan with a fond smile. "Kurama?" asked Kakashi. "Oh! That's Akihiko and Akihiko's mother and one of Ai and Aiko's uncles." replied Dan.
"Grandpa, is dinner ready yet?" asked Aiko with a pout. "Exactly how much did you feed them?" asked Dan as he looked curiously at the quads. "Five bowls of ramen, five pieces of dango, some barbecue, three burgers and fries for each quad respectively." said Kakashi as if he was reliving a nightmare. 'How can they eat so much?' thought Kakashi as a shiver went down his spine. Then he turned to look at the quads only to find Ai and Aiko's frosty eyes on him.
"Well no wonder they are still hungry." said Dan then he noticed the silent conversation between Kakashi and the twins. Dan walked to Kakashi and whispered "Kakashi, you didn't by any chance comment on how much they eat?"
"Uh..."
"Tell me you didn't try to reject food when they offered it to you." said Dan.
"Um..."
"You're lucky they didn't kill you." said Dan as he walked over to the quads. Kakashi followed behind him with a tray of fish in his hands.
They all sat around the campfire and ate their dinner. It was night time and the stars were shining brightly much to the quads' joy. "The stars are so pretty!" exclaimed Ai as she gazed at the stars. "I want them all." said Aiko. "Don't worry, I'm sure when mom gets here, he'll draw as many stars for you as you want." said Akihiko. "Who knows, our house might be filled to the brim with various paintings." said Akihiro to Dan's amusement.
"I see you guys had a productive day." said Dan as he pointed at all the shopping bags. "Yes we did." said Akihiko. "Mr Kakashi was very generous." said Akihiro. "I can tell." said the amused Dan looking at the embarrassed Kakashi. "So, what did you buy?" asked Dan making the quads' eyes light up. They started unloading everything in their shopping bags to show their grandpa. "Wow!" said the astonished Dan when he realised that that they still had more in their summoning scrolls.
"You take after Iruka way too much." said the exasperated Dan. "You bought all this for them?" asked Dan as he looked at Kakashi. "I'm weak." replied Kakashi. The quads just grinned as they stared at all the things they bought. "At this rate these four are going to be spoiled...even more." said Dan with a sigh. The quads had bought everything from weapons to furniture. "I just realised, we should have bought this stuff after we inspected the house." said the embarrassed Akihiko. "It would have made a lot of things easier." said Akihiro.
"Don't worry about it. With your uncle Shino around I'm sure everything will go well." said Dan trying cheer the quads up. "Grandpa can we see our new house tomorrow?" asked Ai. "Sure. I'll ask the third Hoekage to find someone to accompany us." replied Dan. "A house?" asked the seemingly confused Kakashi. "After the chunin exams we are moving here!" Aiko excitedly replied. "You're going to be Leaf citizens. Are you moving with them?" asked Kakashi. "No, I'm just here to drop them off. They are going to stay here with the rest if the family." replied Dan.
"Our grandpa Iruka, uncle Shino, uncle Kurama and our mama are going to be staying with us. Grandpa Dan has to go back to run the village." said Aiko. "Kakashi can I ask you for a favour?" asked Dan. "Sure." Kakashi replied. "The rest of our family are omega and as you have probably realised the quads are alphas." said Dan surprising the quads. "The quads are going to need an alpha's guidance and since I am going back to my village I won't be able to guide them. Will you please take my place?" asked Dan to everyone's surprise.
"Why me?" asked Kakashi. "This made Dan smile then he turned his gaze to the quads. "They seem to like you and I trust their judgment." replied Dan. "You're willing to trust a complete a complete stranger with your grandkids?" asked Kakashi. "Of course not. I'm asking Kakashi Hatake the most talented ninja in the Leaf. A shinobi who is not only brave but loyal. A shinobi whose resolve is stronger than most. A shinobi who would give his life for his comrades without an ounce of hesitation." said Dan stunning Kakashi.
"I've done my research on you and I know of your reputation. You've made quite a name for yourself. I know you will be able to help and protect my family. I ask you this as a fellow shinobi, an ally of the Hidden Leaf and as a grandfather." said Dan. "Sure." replied Kakashi in a 'nonchalant' tone. "Thank you." said Dan with a bow. "Here's everything you need to know." said Dan as he handed Kakashi a scroll.
Kakashi just looked at the words written on the scroll "THE MANUAL TO UNDERSTANDING THE UMINO FAMILY" with confusion. Kakashi opened the scroll and was surprised to see that the scroll only had ten things on it.
The Basics:
1. Listen to Iruka.
2. Feed them as much as they want.
3. Never separate them or it won't end well for you.
4. Don't make them angry.
5. Never challenge them.
6. Listen to Iruka.
7. If they see something shinny give it to them or they will take it
8. Never wake them up without a bribe
9. When their eyes change colour RUN!
