Cassie and Eddie had swam onto shore. "Stay here." Eddie said as they reached Skull Rock.
"Eddie, where are you going?" she asked.
"We need a way to talk to Dustin." he said.
"We can't split up." she shook her head. "There is a man hunt for you. They know we couldn't have gone far. Jason is probably still hot on our trail. We'll go together." she declared.
They snuck down to a construction site. "Look." she pointed at a walkie talkie. Cassie snuck and grabbed the walkie talkie before they rushed off site.
"Dustin?" she got onto the right channel.
"Cassie? Are you guys okay?" the pair were sat under Skull Rock, freezing.
"Nancy?" she recognised her voice.
"Holy shit. Are you okay?" Dustin spoke up.
"Nah, man. Pretty... Pretty goddamn far from okay." Eddie answered as he put an arm around Cassie who just leaned her head on his shoulders.
"Where are you?"
"Skull Rock. Do you know it?" Cassie rolled her eyes because she knew that Steve knew it.
"Uh, yeah. That's near Cornwallis and..."
"Garrett, yeah. I know where that is." Steve cut Dustin off.
"Hold tight. We're coming. We're coming." Eddie had tears in his eyes.
"Are we going to be okay?" He asked the girl.
"I don't know..." she trailed off sadly. "About yesterday..." Eddie cut her off.
"It was a one time thing. I know. You can't be with a freak like me. It would crush your rep-" she cut Eddie off with a soft kiss.
"What reputation? I'm here with you whilst all of Hawkins thinks you're a murderer. There is no more Cassie the cheerleader."

"Oh, boom! Bada bing, bada boom." Cassie and Eddie stood up at the sound of Steve's voice. That in any other circumstance Cassie would call grating but right now, it was a blessing. "There she is, Henderson. Skull Rock. In your face, man. In your stupid, cocky little face."
"Doesn't make sense." Dustin muttered
"Yeah, yeah. Even with it staring you in the face, you can't admit it. Can't admit you're wrong, you butthead."
"I concur. You, Dustin Henderson, are a... Total butthead." Eddie said dramatically.
"Jesus, we thought you were a goner." Dustin hugged Eddie and Steve rested an arm on her shoulder.
"Yeah, me too, man. Me too."
"Cassie!" Max rushed to hug the girl as did Nancy.
"I'm okay. Please tell me you drove up in my car?" she glanced back and forth between the two adults.
Nancy held out a jumper and a pack of cigs with a lighter. "What about the little-" Robin held out the little glock that she kept stored in her car.
"I figured it could do a lot more good with you than your car." Cassie gave Robin a side hug which warmed up the tall woman.
"When we got to the shore, I tried calling you guys, but, uh... My walkie was busted, man. Drenched." Both Cassie and Eddie were sat, but she was intensely smoking her well earned cigarette. "So, uh, we did the thing that we do now, apparently. We ran.
