Maya had smiled while looking at everyone around her. Riley had just told everyone that she was 20 weeks pregnant with their second child while Maya was still secretive about her pregnancy as she didn't want many people knowing yet. They had gathered at the Matthews residence while Maya knew that things weren't going to stay quiet and peaceful for long.

"Riley, is everything okay? Where is Mason?" Maya asked as Riley shook her head.

"Sweetheart, is everything okay with you guys?" Cory asked as Riley shook her head.

"He still hasn't accepted the pregnancy at the fullest. He wanted to get married before," Riley said as Maya looked at Josh.

"Riley, the baby is due end of April. Let's still do the whole wedding. A New Years Eve wedding on the roof sounds nice to me," Maya said.

"Mason wants the big white wedding thing and he wants his parents to be there. I don't know if we can figure all of this out. Not on our own at least," Riley said.

"Are you guys getting help then?" Josh asked as Riley nodded.

"Can you guys watch Macy next week? She is slightly sick so I don't want to drop her off at daycare like that," Riley said.

"Of course. No problem, Riles. I'm sorry about all of that. It doesn't sound like a good thing," Maya said as Riley nodded.

"Mama, Mama!" Layla yelled as Maya looked at her daughter.

Yes. Layla had yelled before, but she has never yelled in fear before. Maya immediately stood up and went to her daughter where she was playing with her brothers.

"She is touching her stomach, Mom," Kayden said as Maya looked at her daughter.

"What's wrong, Layla-bear?" Maya asked as she had picked her up.

"What's going on?" Josh asked approaching his wife and daughter.

"I don't know. Layla, what's wrong? Does it hurt? Does your stomach hurt?" Maya asked as Layla started to cough on Maya's chest.

Josh had rubbed Layla's back as Maya looked in shock on the sleeve of Layla's white onesie. In fear, she looked at Josh as he saw the blood on her clothes.

"Damnit. Let's get her to the hospital. She's coughing up blood," Josh said as he grabbed her diaper bag.

"Go! I'll take the boys," Riley said as Maya and Josh went out of the apartment.

"Come on. Hop into the back. It's okay, Sweetheart," Josh said as Maya immediately got into the car.

Driving off into the night, Maya had prayed that her daughter wasn't seriously sick, and prayed that it wasn't something big. As they had arrived at the hospital, Maya jumped out of the car, as Josh followed her into the hospital.

"Help! My daughter is coughing up blood," Maya said as she laid Layla down on a bed and a doctor came closer.
