Maya had looked at her daughter who was laying fast asleep in one of the hospital beds. She and Josh had rushed to the hospital when Layla started to couch up blood and she was admitted. To Maya there was nothing worse than seeing how her daughter was laying in the hospital. But the worse was that they still didn't know what was wrong with their sweet girl.

"She looks so helpless," Maya said.

"It looks like she's comfortable and enjoying a nice sleep. She's okay, Maya. The doctors were able to get her comfortable. Hey, she's going to be fine," Josh said noticing that his wife was worried.

"Yes, she will indeed be. Layla has peptic ulcer. Also known as stomach ulcer. Some antibiotics and the right medicine and she will be fine," the doctor said as Maya exhaled, relieved that her child was okay.

"How long will the course of antibiotics be?" Josh asked.

"It's going to take 2-3 months for it to heal and I suggest soft food for the time being. But she's going to be just fine. We are keeping her overnight just to monitor her, but your daughter is strong," he said.

"Thank you, Doctor," Maya said as he had left.

"How on earth did that even happen?" Josh asked as Maya shrugged her shoulders.

"Could have been caused by many things. Our daughter is going to be okay and that is all that matters. Thankfully," Maya said.

"Can we talk about this pregnancy?" Josh asked as Maya nodded and they went to sit down.

"I know your mind isn't at all there, but we need to think about all of this. This is our forth pregnancy and as much as we want to say that everything will be fine, we haven't done a thing yet," Josh said as Maya had nodded.

"Yeah, I know. Your niece is more prepared than we will ever be," Maya said.

"What I think we should do is go to see a doctor. We've known for 3 weeks about the pregnancy now. We need to figure that out," Josh said as Maya had nodded and heard her phone ringing.

She shook her head as she saw it was Riley and could guess what it was about.

"Riley Matthews, if my children are still awake hell is loose," Maya said.

"Why the hell is Kayden so difficult to get to bed?" Riley asked as Maya and Josh could hear that she was out of breath.

"He is probably worried about Layla. They are very close. She's okay. She has a stomach ulcer," Josh said.

"When are you guys coming home then?" Riley asked.

"I'll probably just come and pick up a few things for the night then I will come back to the hospital. She is staying overnight," Josh said.

"Okay, I hope everything goes okay," Riley said ending the call.

"This is definitely not getting documented," Maya said.

"Yeah, agreed," Josh said as Maya laid her head on his shoulder.
