•Amelia's Point of View;•

I woke up to the strumming of guitar strings. I blinked a couple of times and sat up, seeing that it was Luke playing it.

I glanced at the clock and saw it was nearly noon.

I smiled. A tickle came to the back of my throat, making me cough lightly. Luke's head snapped up, his eyes finding mine momentarily.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" he spoke.

I shook my head, "No, it's fine. What were you playing?"

"Just a song I wrote, wanna here it?" he grinned and I nodded quickly. He repositioned his guitar again and cleared his thought before starting.

"Within a minute I was all packed up,
I've got a ticket to another world,
I don't wanna go,
I don't wanna go,
The silent words are hard to speak,
When your thoughts are all I see,
'Don't ever leave,' she said to me."

he glanced at me and then squeezed his eyes shut, concentrating on the upcoming chorus.

"When we both fall asleep underneath the same sky,
To the beat of our hearts at the same time,
So close but so far away,
Can you hear me.

She sleeps alone,
My heart wants to come home,
I wish I was, I wish I was beside you,
She lies awake,
I'm trying to find the words to say,
I wish I was, I wish I was beside you."

Luke stopped playing and opened his eyes again, looking at me for the second time. My jaw hung low in shock, I knew he was good, but this was something else.

"Bad?" he grimaced.

I shook my head, closing my mouth, "N-no. It was amazing, Luke."

"It was only a small part of the song, I just haven't finished it yet." he laughed, scratching the back of his neck.

I giggled and got out of bed, walking over to him and sitting on his knee. I wrapped my arms around his neck and lay my head on his shoulder.

We sat there for a moment in silence, before he spoke up.

"Ashton and Jaime are going out for Chipotle in a bit, and he wanted us to come with. You wanna go?"

"Yeah," my stomach grumbled, "I'm starving."

Without another thought, I took off to the bathroom to get ready. I gave my teeth a good brush and washed my face, making sure it was nice and clean.

I then reapplied concealer, eyeliner and a quick coat of mascara before moving onto my hair; which I put up into a high ponytail.

Walking out the bathroom, I changed into a clean pair of underwear and slipped on white ripped skinny jeans and a grey tank top, along with my grey vans.

I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and went downstairs to see Luke sat on the kitchen side, swinging his legs back and forth.

"Ready?" I asked and he looked up from his phone screen, nodding slowly.

He slipped his hands through mine before making his way out the door, me following closely behind.

We got into the car and I turned on the radio, that being the only noise in the car at this time. I lay my head against the window, but out of the corner of my eye I saw Luke shifting in his drivers seat uncomfortably.

"Luke?" he turned head towards me, flickering his eyes to and from the road and I, "what's wrong?"

"Nothing. Nothing," he smiled, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel, "I'm fine."

I sighed, lacing his fingers with mine as we pulled up to Chipotle. I saw Ashton's car in the car park as we walked through the door, me spotting his curly hair instantly.

"I'll go sit with Ashton, okay?" I spoke and Luke nodded, waving me off.

I walked over to the table and both their heads snapped up to me, Ashton cracking a smile as I sat down opposite him.

"Hey guys." I smiled.

"Hey," Jaime smiled, "How you doing?"

"Good thanks."

Luke pulled up beside me with a tray as we all grabbed our burritos and dug in.

Ashton and Jaime were in conversation with Luke, but I could still see him twisting his fingers nervously under the table.

I frowned at him, finding it odd at his sudden behaviour. He wasn't like this, this morning.

Luke and I arrived home and I plumped down on the sofa, feeling as if I was about to burst from lunch.

Luke had gone into the kitchen to grab a pint of water before coming and sitting next to me, placing it on the coaster beside him.

"You going to tell me what's up now?" I questioned him.

He looked at me, and chewed on his lip, "What'd you mean?"

"Luke, you've been acting weird all morning." I huffed.

"I'm fine."

"No your not." I pressed.

He looked down at his hands momentarily before looking back up, his eyes meeting mine.

"Millie, I have to tell you something."
