Chapter 3- Hurt Strikes

~After School~

I am still in the ladies bathroom, still crying. Somebody waits at the door "Hey, Reiko.." It was Edward, so I quickly stopped crying, and I don't turn around to look at him. "What do you want?" I say somewhat bitterly, but anyone would be able to make out the hurt in my voice. "Want a ride to my house?" "Why would I want one?" "So you can meet up with everyone.I thought you may want a family.." I freeze, unable to speak. He's able to read my past thoughts too? Does that mean he can see when I met him for my the first time when he was human? Crap. What did I JUST do?! Now he knows!!!

I get really mad and punch the mirror, causing it to shatter, so I Ieave the vandilism scene and walk to the parking lot "Let's go then..." I say through clenched teeth, my hands balled up into fists, ready to hit something else. "Calm, Reiko" it wasn't Edward though. It was a girly voice, high spirited. Alice, it was Alice. Wow, she has an interesting voice... That's going to get hard to get used to, Edward laughs, and I hadn't realized he was right next to me. Alice ignores him and continues "Hi, nice to finally meet you! I've seen your future many times, and I know we're going to be great friends!" she smiles and I give Edward a questioning look. "Precognition." "Oh." We get in Edwards car, and Alice insists I sit in the front with Edward. Weird... But I kinda like it. I can't stay mad at him for my entire exsistence, he may know how I feel, due to my loud mind, doesn't mean he knows everything. I look at him, and study his face as I may never see it again. He now turns to me and gives me a confused look. I shrug and think 'I may be a danger to all of you...' I look down at my lap, and I can hear in his voice he sounds heartbroken. He must really like me as a friend. "So, we already know so much about you-" he shoots a glance at Alice "- and we already see you as family." I look at him, "Family?" he nods, and I give him a crooked smile, and he gives me a crooked smile back.

Family...

~At the Cullen's~

We drive up into the forest, which was confusing, but I went with it. We finally pulled up to magnificient house, all glass walls. Is that Carlisle? "Go say hi" Edward said, and it caused me to quickly look at him. "He's still not mad at me?" I ask "He doesn't hold on to grudges, and he's no hater at all." This caused me to smile. All I wanted him to know is that I never meant to make him feel worthless, as if his help wasn't needed. Edward smiled at me, he really loved my thoughts, apparently. "I do." Those two words made me dizzy, dizzy because those two words are vows, giving your whole life to somebody. "Your thoughts are really loud, Reiko. That's how you feel about me?" I nod, if it were possible, blushing too. Too bad he's into brunettes.

We walk inside, and everyone is sitting on the couches, except Carlisle. He's at the door. He reaches in and gives me a hug, was he really this happy for me to be here? "Welcome, Reiko" Carlisle says, breaking the hug. He sounded so sincere, so.. Loving. "We've waited for you for so long" he shoots a glance at Edward "especially Edward." I look at Edward, and he nods. "So he remembers before he.. Changed and... L-left?" "Yes, he does."

"Edward? Is that really true?" "Yes, Reiko." He sounded angry "But I will never love you" I look at him, pain filling me, hurt, the desire to kill someone, or myself. Someone I dedicated my heart to, my exsistence... I turn to look at everyone, and they looked shocked. "Nice meeting you all... But I'm going to go, so, bye.." I say, and head for the door.

~Edward's P.O.V~

"Smooth." Said Emmett, I can tell he already grew a liking to Reiko, "Thanks for getting rid of her" and that was Rosalie, she hated newcomers. "You really hurt her..." Said Jasper, and I could see the pain, the pain Reiko must've felt.

What have I done?

~Reiko's P.O.V~

I'm sobbing, and I don't want to be here anymore... I scream in frustration, I spent over 90 years trying to find Edward for this?! I just wasted all that time to be hurt?! "Reiko!!!" I hear somebody yell "Edward?" he runs up to me and hugs me tighly, and I don't want to let go, but I have to be strong and leave him. "Get off of me!!" I yell at him and push him away, and he doesn't budge. He had a really tight grip, too. "No! I NEED you Reiko!! I don't have Bella anymore!" He yells, sounding lonely. "So I'm your BACKUP?" I scream at his face, crying harder.

"Tell me. Am I?"

"Not like that"

I begin thinking now, 'Then what?'

He clears his throat, unecessarily.

"It all started...
