Chapter 7- Reiko's Attempt

~Edward's P.O.V~

"Jasper, you have to unless you want her to turn and slaughter everyone on this plane." I look at him, while Katelyn bites onto my arm while she's changing to attempt not to scream. He gives me a nervous glance, and I give him a reasuring nod. "Katelyn.. Do you want this?" Jasper is now looking at her again. She looks at him, and she nods. She wants to be a monster?

"You sure? Doesn't it burn?" He asks her again, and she slowly nods. Why does she want her life to be an endless nightmare?! She'll be pale as hell, and thirsty- it'll feel like a hot iron is forcefully put in her throat, and she'll feel it for months.

"Y-You don't want this, I am sure of it" I tell her, looking at her face morphing with pain and agony, and I see Jasper with the same look written all over his face. She stops biting my arm "I want to be with Jasper forever..." She says, looking at Jasper. She's one strong girl for not even screaming once.

"Please, I can't have you die and not be able to hear your heartbeat.." Jasper pleads, he never wanted this for anyone that had another choice. No one in my family would do this to someone who had another choice, we all knew we didnt have a choice, for we were all dying. We're not sure about Alice though, for she doesn't remember anything from her human life.

"I want this, Jasper" she insists, I didn't even want her to end this way either. "Please Katelyn, you'll probably slaughter everyone here!" he whispers loudly to her. "I'll get the venom out of her system." I suggest, I couldn't stand seeing Katelyn turn, if she had a choice. But both Jasper and I knew that once the Volturi found out, they'll force us to change her.

"I'll do it."

"Alice?"

~Reiko's P.O.V~

I can't stand the smell of the blood here- it's so tempting. I don't know if I should kill the whole town, it'll just make me want to kill myself for betraying Carlisle. Then I'll expose myself- I'll show the humans of what I am.

"Edward's P.O.V~

"Alice? I thought you hated her"

"Of course" she gives Katelyn a death glare, but we all just ignore it

"Well, if you're gonna do it, I suggest you do it now"

"My head is burning!" Katelyn takes fist-fulls of hair and pulls and starts to breathe fast. Oh god, I never felt so bad for someone... Except for Reiko. Katelyn starts to scream slightly. She was soon to pass out, and her organs were going to get demolished by the venom soon.

Alice quickly grabs onto Katelyn's arm and sinks her teeth in. She quickly sucks the little bit of venom that was in her system. Who knew such a little bit of venom could cause such damage. Katelyn closes her eyes and they quickly snap open... Phew they're still green.

"How do you feel?" Jasper asks concerned, Alice had stopped drinking from Katelyn and went back to her seat without another word. "Honestly... Like shit" Jasper chuckles. How much love that are in their eyes... I need Reiko, and fast. We only had 20 more minutes until the plane lands. Alice's mind had shown me Reiko's change in plans, as she was going to expose herself to the humans.

~30 Minutes Later~

"Let's go!" I yell, and we all run at human speed out of the airport. When there's no humans in sight, we go into the shade and start to run at inhuman speed, while Katelyn is on Jasper's back, and we finally make it to the castle where the Volturi lived. We entered, and all head in. Is it too late? I leave from them, and go on the search for Reiko.

She had to be here somewhere, lurking in the shadows. Before Alice and I are too far from eachother, she thinks of another vision; Reiko is going to come out from the clocktower any minute now. "Thanks.." I mutter, I knew she heard me when she thought 'You're welcome.'

So I take the journey to the clocktower, covered in many layers of clothes to be able to go out into the sunlight. I run at a human speed. I hope I'm not too late. I see Reiko off in the distence, for she is only wearing her under garments.. I had to return to focus, so I thought of saving her.

~Jasper's P.O.V~

I can't help but look at Katelyn as we walk through all the twist and turns to the main area where Aro Cauis and Marcus sat. I knew I was going to have to change her sooner or later... But I wanted to marry her. Alice looks at me glumly, for I am sure she saw me propose to Katelyn in a vision. Great.

But, I guess Alice isn't my mate anymore... That's fine, as long as I have Katelyn.
