just before maximus had left gal's temporary apartment, he had left her a few bottles of pain killers to help mend the pain that came with the stab wound.

though it looked horrific, and felt dreadful, gal didn't want to risk having suspicions raised and questions asked if admitted to the hospital, so instead, gal took the grave risk of simply having her wound mended at home, with unprescribed medicine to help deal with the pain.

the nausea began to take over as the pain from the recent dressing she had just received a few hours ago began to kick in, gal carved her nails deep into her arm; trying to distract herself from the incredible amount of agony she was in, as the anxiety began to creep through.

"can i get you a refill, honey?"

gal jumped in distress, the paranoia beginning to take over, nonetheless; she smiled at the older gentleman whom had a look of concern as he noticed gal's arm that had now been a small open wound due to how far she pierced her nails deep into her skin.

gal pulled down her sleeve, shaking her head in response, watching as the older man hesitantly walked away, leaving her all on her own.

"this is ridiculous" she muttered underneath her breath, checking her bag for the seventh time, hoping to find the bottle she was longing for, but to no luck, as she had forgotten to bring it with her.

"just got to suck it up." gal said, forcing a smile on her face, as she began playing with the half empty cup of black coffee that had gone cold by now.

the ringing door bell announcing that someone new had just walked in caught gal's attention, pulling herself up, the older woman smiled, it felt Biblical; almost as if seeing sarah was all that it took to heal those wounds on her, from inside out.

sarah felt her own body elevate; every time she was around gal, her body felt greater than her own, almost as if she was in gravity and nothing can get to her, it was a feeling she'd never be able to get used to.

sarah placed her purse on top of the table, before placing her arms around gal's neck as she hugged the older woman as tightly as she could, laying her head on gal's chest, feeling closer to home, almost if she wasn't just there 15 minutes ago.

"i've missed you." gal's softness came to life, upon, other things, her authenticity, her genuineness, as well as wholesomeness as nobody ever came close to that side of gal before up until sarah came along.

"i couldn't stop thinking about you- i tried to pull you out of my head, but i think you marked your territory."

gal grinned, leaving a giggle, as she sat across from sarah, in the same place they had run into each other a long time ago.

nostalgia came into play, as well as other feelings as well, gal had missed walking out of her front door, and being able to see sarah skateboard to school almost every morning.

she hadn't realized she'd feel saddened for the moments she'd hope pass during that time, but a lot had changed, the only thing that stuck was how much gal cared for the younger woman.

"your message brought out a curiosity of me that i never knew i had in me." sarah admitted, keeping her eyes on gal. "i don't think if i should be nervous or not."

"you should be. i don't come with good news, i think maybe... the opposite? everything i tried to hide from you, i thought was for your own good, but who am i to dictate or decide what is good, or bad, right or wrong, evil or not? it's safe to say, we're both past that phase."

sarah was quiet, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion but nevertheless; she was in tune, listening to whatever gal would bring into the table.

"i'm in love with you." gal started off. "and i miss saying that because it feels like a really fucking long time since i last looked into your face and told you that-"
