i open my eyes and sit up.
did i just hear a voice...?

i look around. a deep, red, empty void surrounds me.
i must be still asleep, dreaming.

"you've seen-you've felt what i can do, now will you listen to me?"

i look up and recognize a pair of peircing red eyes.
it's the same woman from my dream.

it towers over me with a slender body. its short, red hair is cut in layers, and the red strapless dress it wears flows all the way down to the ground, gradually changing to a green shade.
it's like it's dressed like a...

"hmph. no answer, but i will take it as a yes."

is this real? is there really someone else in my mind? i try to process everything that's happening, but the woman says something i would've never expected.

"don't you want revenge?"

"what are you talking about!? you don't know anything!"

"HA! i 'don't know anything'? you sound so stupid right now! i've been a part of you, leafy. ever since you got pricked by my rose, i've been gathering everything about you!"

my eyes go wide. "every...thing...?"

it grit its teeth and exhaled sharply. "everything, leafy." the woman straightened itself and turned away from me.

"and i know how badly you want revenge...on firey. i've seen your memories, and i saw how you reacted to his actions."

i stayed silent. i was scared of it, i was scared of what it could do, i was scared of the pain it caused me.

"he didn't listen to you."
"he didn't care about you."
"he only saved your life out of pity."

my mind goes blank, my face goes pale, everything around me feels like it's spinning. was that really how he felt about me...?

"r...really?"

now that i think about it, it makes sense he'd feel pity for me. i stole dream island from him, i practically rejected the ferris wheel he made me, and i just...hadn't handled things right. it makes sense he'd still be upset with me.

firey didn't actually want to spend time with me.

he just made it all up.

"yes, leafy. doesn't that just make your blood boil?"

i felt my hands curling into fists.

"he deserves to feel pain, doesn't he? with my help, leafy, we can punish him, we can make him suffer."

it outstretches its hand. it has a rose on it, eerily similar to mine.

"just take my hand, and i will lead the way," it smiles.

i look up at the woman. it has a genuine expression on its face. i could trust it, right?

from one rose to another, i take its hand.
