After a few days Grian and Mumbo headed back to Hermitcraft, leaving Tommy and Shroud behind.
Eryn met up with Tommy, hanging out with him and the kid. The two were Essington around as Shroud was climbing a tree near by.
More days pass and Tommy kept in contact with his dad and what he saw, his new step-dad. He liked Mumbo and saw the relationship between him and his papa.
He was happy.
Shroud and Tommy were running around, playing around in the woods as they were waiting for Grian and Mumbo.
Tommy saw Shroud upside down, hanging from a branch smiling and laughing.
"Tommy." Dreams voice startled Tommy and he turned to face him.
"What do you want dickhead?"
"Is that anyway to speak to your friend."
"I am not your friend."
"Anyways, I wanted to know why you were with a watcher days ago, or rather why did a watcher protect you?"
"You don't need to know green bitch."
"Tommy, Tommy..." a smile was shown under the Green man's broken mask. "I watch what you say, your son could be harmed with what may happen."
"Like I let you near him again."
"I don't even have to be near him to harm him. You should know that Tommy."
"Buddy hide up there okay!" Tommy yelled up, and saw that Shroud was scared.
"You know Tommy, I did some thinking about the whole watcher protecting you. You either made a deal with one, or someone you know did. Now which one?" Dream pulled out a bow and arrow not aiming it one bit.
"Nither you prick."
"It has to be one Tommy." Drema aimed the arrow at Shroud, and Tommy became more worried.
"Dream leave him out of this!"
"Just tell me!"
"No!"
"Fine then."
Dream fired the arrow and Tommy moved faster than he thought he could and was in the air as Shroud started to cry. Tommy's wings flapped keeping the two up there.
"Shh, I got ya buddy." Tommy tried to calm Shroud down but soon fear struck into Tommy. He just showed his greatest enemy that he can fly.
"Lookie at what we have here..." Dream became more angry with Tommy. (Almost put child) "Since when did you fly?"
Tommy on the other hand didn't want to stay any longer and flew with Shroud in his arms. He could faintly hear Dream yell for Tommy to come back, but he is fully aware that he is chasing him.
Tommy was not the best of flyers, so the pain of flying got to him and he crashed in the trees hitting the ground. He protected his child by taking the hit head on.
"Fuck." Tommy slowly got up in pain. Shroud was crying even more. "Hey now, it will be alright. We just got to get moving." Tommy let Shroud go for him to get up but Tommy was having difficulty getting up with a broken foot. "This can't get worse can't.."
Tommy slowly got up leaning against a tree for support.
"Papa...w-why is the g-green man so mean..."
"He isn't mean at you...but at me..."
"BUT PAPA!!"
"No...it will be okay... I gotcha buddy." Tommy smiled at Shroud who looked so confused and sad.
Tommy looked around then pushed on trying to get away as much as possible from the speed runner.
