*Beep, beep.*

The heart rate monitor was going at the same speed. It showed a normal heart rate and everything else. Cuphead looked tired. He hasn't slept or gone out of the room for an entire day, making everybody nervous. He didn't care. He only cared about his younger brother. Another person was in the room. His name was Cotton, he was the one who managed the electricity, he was one of the smartest when it came to plumbing or electricity.

"Hey..." Mumbled Cotton. "Don't you need to go and destroy the Amazonite-"

"Already done." Interrupted Cuphead. "Burnt down the building. That Amazonite won't get given to those asses until that workhouse is fixed up."

"Really?" Exclaimed Cotton. "When-"

"Turn on the TV." Sighed Cuphead.

Cotton left his toolbox on the ladder and climbed down leaving a lightbulb hanging on the edge of the ladder. He grabbed the remote on the counter near the TV and pressed the power button. It was already on the news channel so there was no point in pressing other buttons.

"Last night, the infamous "Gambit" burned down this very warehouse filled with important things. Stay tuned for more about-" Said the news reporter.

"How?" Asked Cotton. "You were always here right?"

"No, I just snuck out at night and used my bow and arrow." Answered Cuphead. "I didn't even take the motorcycle."

Cotton sighed and went back to the ladder. He grabbed the light bulb before it fell onto the floor, he watched Cuphead take his phone out and open a random social media app. Cotton put the light bulb back on the ladder and opened his mouth to speak.

"What if they find the Amazonite?" Asked Cotton. "Then what?"

"Burn it right off their hands." Joked Cuphead.

"What?" Exclaimed Cotton.

"It was a joke." Sighed Cuphead as he put his phone back in his pocket.

"Fine." Mumbled Cotton. "Just so you know Firefly wouldn't be happy if they took it."

"Yeah. I know." Said Cuphead. "But it will take those losers forever to dig the rubble up."

"Yeah, you're right." Snickered Cotton as he replaced the light bulb. "Well, I gotta go now."

Cotton grabbed his ladder and opened the door leaving Cuphead alone in the room with his brother, who was in a deep sleep, the heart rate monitor displayed the same thing. Normal vitals. He sighed and smacked his head with his hand. He was so stupid, why didn't he stop?

*Beep*

"Why didn't I just. Take his helmet off?" Hissed Cuphead. "Now he's lost his arm..."

-

Sleeping. That's what he was doing. Sleeping, he instantly recognised that he was asleep as he fainted. He knew that his prosthetic arm was now broken and that he needed to get a new one. Perfect, he's only got one arm. Now what?

Mugman was in an ocean, and even though the water was considered wet, his clothes weren't. Nothing was. It was quite relaxing to float around and think of nothing. But it bothered Mugman, doing nothing? Floating around and doing absolutely nothing at all? What about Vesper? Cuphead? His situation that he was in? The future?

"I need to get out of here." Sighed Mugman. "This is annoying."

All of a sudden, he felt himself sinking into the water. At first, he tried to float back up but for some reason, he couldn't move his body. It freaked him out but the ocean slowly turned into a different colour. Orange and grey were surrounding him, Mugman felt the floor with his legs. He was in a bar. And it seems like he's invisible.
