This book is inspired by works such as the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie franchise, the Ateez' lore and discography, and random (but still valid) songs the author has saved in their playlist. Genre: fantasy-induced sea shanties and dark academia and royal mystery adventures.
This story is the first in the genre of 'fantasy fan fiction' that the author has ever written, and so the author kindly asks the readership to be gentle. The author has done as much research on all aspects of the story as possible, though they admit they're not experts on the topics of 'ship anatomy', 'navy terms of direction', etc. Therefore some geographic places might not be where they are in real life, and the distance between places can vary. Furthermore, the author has included various idioms and phrases that a pirate may have said. A lot of them are no longer in use and therefore can be quite difficult to understand. Should you struggle with the meaning of certain phrases, you're very welcome to leave a comment. The author will translate everything into modern English.
As you progress through the story, you will notice one member of the band to appear later in the story than the others. This does not mean the author values that member less than the others, be assured the author loves all members of Ateez equally and values each of the boys for their own unique set of skills and talents. It's simply necessary for his character to appear later than the others, as it's part of his role.
