Y/N pov

It has been a couple of days since the twins left. I have started to do some physio since I am allowed. Robbie texted letting us know they arrived at their location safe. He didn't tell us where just in case we were being watched.

"So when do you think I can leave this hospital?" I asked the doctor as Lizzie helped me sit on the bed.

"When I deem that you are fit enough, right now I'd say you are halfway there." They smirked at me. I groaned in frustration needing to get Larkin behind bars or dead so my family can be safe and happy together.

"Do you remember our first date?" Lizzie asked me softly.

"What?" I asked her confused as to why she brought it up.

"Do you remember it?" She asked me more sternly as she tilted her head.

"Of course I remember it. You in your light blue blouse and black jeans looked absolutely stunning." I smiled at the memory.

"You say that about every outfit I wear." She smirked.

"That's because you can wear a bin bag and still pull it off." I smiled at her.

"You are a simp." She chuckled.

I was extremely nervous when I reached her front door but the moment I looked into her eyes all of those nerves instantly washed away. I could see my whole future in those eyes.

"You look beautiful." I smiled at her.

"You don't look too bad yourself." She breathed out. I held out my arm for her to take as she shut her door. I led her to the passenger side and opened the door for her. She smiled in thanks before I got in the drivers side. "So where are we going Y/N?" She asked me as she turned to face me

"That is a surprise." I smirked at her as I drove. I laughed as she huffed knowing she hates surprises but whats a girl to do. The drive was filled with a comfortable conversation over memories we shared as teens and the soft rock playing lowly in the background. Once I reached the hill just overlooking the city I pulled over and shut off the engine.

"You know if you're going to kill me for taking all of these years to finally confess my feelings. I'm sorry." She teased making me chuckle.

"I'm afraid the murder will have to wait. I need to know how good you are in bed first." I teased back as I opened her door for her. Before I joined her side I went to get the basket out of the trunk with a couple of blankets. "My lady." I offered as I held out my arm for her which she took with a shy smile. We walked just to the peak of the Hill with the perfect view of the city and the starry sky.

"This is amazing Y/N." She smiled as we sat on the blanket as I started to take all of her favourites out.

"I'm glad you like it. I know you don't really do those big fancy dates and like them to be simple so this was the perfect date." I smiled as I handed her a glass of wine.

"I can't believe you remembered." She whispered with a smile.

"Of course I did." I said softly as I thought about what to say. "I will be honest with you though. The moment we met you drew me in. Just gazing into those eyes of yours and I knew that they were the eyes I wanted to gaze into for the rest of my life. But you had a boyfriend at the time and I thought that I never had a chance."

"You always had a chance Y/N. I just didn't think you liked me like that so I stayed friends with you because I didn't want a life were you're not in it." She said softly making me smile.

"Well I am happy that we get to be together now. We can learn more about the people we have become and not who we used to be." I told her as I held her hand in mine. "I want this to work because I see my future in your eyes and I never want to let it go." Once I finished she pulled me in for a passionate kiss.

Lizzie's pov

"That was an amazing date." Y/N smiled as she reminisced on our past.

"It was. Do you remember what you said to me that night?" I asked her.

"I see my future in your eyes and I never want to let it go." She said word for word as the tears slipped from my eyes.

"And look at how far we have come together." I stated as she wiped my cheeks.

"Yeah, we have been together for almost 10 years. 10 whole years together and hopefully 50 more." She smiled as she caressed my cheeks.

"Definitely 50 more years and a couple more kids." I smirked at her.

"Yeah, we definitely need the practice for the kids part though." She teased wriggling her eyebrows.

"Yeah that isn't happening for a while." I told her as I kissed her softly before cuddling into her side.
