Y/N pov

"What was that?" Lizzie whispered worriedly. I looked over and saw that it was 2 in the morning. When we heard it again I shot up out of bed and grabbed Lizzie. We walked into the closet and I pulled her to the back of it. "They're going to find us here." She whispered to me. I just shook my head and moved the clothes away which revealed a panic room. "Since when was this here?"

"It has always been here." I told her as I tapped on the code to open it. "It has plenty of food and drink, there is clothes and a phone. It has Robbie's number. He is the only one that knows about this. He knows the code so when you are in there and it is locked. Send an SOS to Robbie and he will be here as soon as he can." I told her as I pushed her inside.

"You can't leave me Y/N. You promised me." She spoke tearily.

"I am not going to leave you. You are what gives me the strength to protect you." I spoke as I got a glock with a silencer from the shelf. "I love you."

"I love you too." She spoke sadly as I closed the door. I fixed the clothes to conceal the door from view and made sure that the safety was off before I made my way towards the end of the closet. I made sure to put on some sweats and a t shirt before I left the closet.

"I know they are here somewhere." I heard a familiar voice that sent shivers down my spine. "Find them now." I was wondering why they were here. I hadn't even throught of them in years. Almost a decade.

I made sure that I had my safety off and was ready at the bedroom door waiting as I heard footsteps get closer. I watched in the dark as the door handle moved as they opened the door. I had the gun ready to wield if they got too close to Lizzie. I know I made her a promise but I will die to make sure that she is safe.

Lizzie's pov

I got myself dressed with some jeans that were in here and kept on Y/N's shirt. I found the phone and dialled Robbie's number.

"Y/N?" He spoke sleepily.

"It's Lizzie." I spoke in a whisper.

"What are you doing using the panic room phone?" He asked sounding more awake.

"Y/N locked me in here. There are people in our home and she told me to ring you." I spoke fearfully.

"Shit. I will be there as soon as I can. My parents are here with Andy and the twins so they are safe don't worry." He spoke as I heard shuffling on the line. "Just stay in there and I will be there as soon as." He spoke as I heard the jingling of keys. He hung up and I was alone again. I found it interesting that she had a panic room in our home. And she only trusted Robbie with the location and the code for it. Everytime I think I know her, there is something that I don't know.

It didn't take Robbie too long to open the door.

"Are you ok?" He asked as he checked me over.

"I'm fine, is Y/N here. Please tell me she is still here." I spoke shakily.

"No, there has been a sign of a struggle but I don't know for sure. But we need to get you somewhere safe." He spoke as we left the house. When I walked downstairs, there was a lot of broken furniture and glass with blood splattered on some surfaces. I was beyond worried at the state of my wife. I didn't know if this blood was just hers or why I didn't hear anything

"Why didn't I hear anything that happened down here?" I asked Robbie as we were on our way to some friends of theres.

"It's soundproof. She had it put in a few years ago while you were at your parents with the twins while we were decorating. She wanted to make sure that you would be safe in case of a home invasion. There is one in the boys room too." He spoke and I was shocked at this. All these years and she is still the protector of our family. "She did it because she couldn't bare the thought of any of you getting hurt because of her job and the risks."

"I just wish I knew." I spoke sadly.

"I know." He spoke as he pulled up outside a house. He knocked and I was shocked at who opened the door.

"Robbie, how are you?" He spoke in his accent as I looked away awkwardly.

"We need your help. There is only a few people I trust in the precinct since there is a lot of them on Larkin's payroll." He told him as he let us both inside.

"I have been trying to work this case to get them all cleared out. Y/N was helping me with it, is she here?" Tom asked as he looked between us.

"She has been taken." I spoke quietly.

"I'm sorry to hear that Lizzie. Don't worry we will work very hard to bring her home for you." He spoke tenderly. He is still the same caring man that I had met in college. Maybe if my feelings for Y/N didn't run so deep we could have been something but he was the one who made me realise my feelings for her and pushed me to tell her.
