24 - I Made A Promise

No one's pov

As Robbie, Lizzie and Tom were coming up with a plan to get Y/N back and take down Larkin for once. Y/N was looking into the face of a woman that they never thought they would see again. There was a mutual hatred between the two of them.

"You know when Sophia told me you had married that Olsen girl and had twins with her, I was curious to see my grandchildren, what they looked like." The woman spoke with venom in her tone.

"Why are you here?" Y/N asked her as she tried to break free from the ties.

"Did you really think that Larkin was the one behind all of this. He was merely a foot soldier in my plan." She spoke as she circled Y/N. "He helped me get rid of your father. The man who claimed to love me no matter what. But he decided to side with the freak we created."

"He was a great man and you took him from me." Y/N spoke angrily.

"Yes I did. He was mine first." She spoke as she got in her face. "I was actually hoping to meet the twins and my daughter in law but I guess that will have to wait until your funeral then." She spoke as she took out a small blade and pressed it to Y/N's cheek slowly digging it in. "Did you know that the human body can only withstand so much pain before it shuts down. The victim just goes unconcious but they are still alive and when the pain recepters don't feel pain it allows them to wake up and then the torture continues." She spoke as she slice upto the edge of Y/N's mouth.

"You are a sick woman." Y/N spat at her which only earned her a punch.

"No I am very well thank you." She smirked as she rested her hands on Y/N's shoulders. "But you on the other hand will not make it back to that wife of yours." She spoke sinisterly as the door opened to reveal a second person from her past.

"You were the one who sent her to me. She never really loved me did she?" Y/N asked the woman who just laughed in her face.

"No one ever did. You are a freak that no one wants on this earth. Do you think Lizzie will miss you. Or your twins." Sophia finally spoke up as she got closer.

"You've aged well." Y/N spoke sarcastically.

"Well it has been almost 10 years." She spoke with venom. "It does happen with time."

"You know, I always wondered why you were as possessive as you were when we were together especially when Lizzie came home." Y/N spoke as she tried to keep them talking before her mother pressed the blade into her skin again.

"You may as well look like the freak you are. No one will ever love a freak." She spoke as she cut from the eyebrow down to the cheek.

Lizzie's pov

Tom got off the phone with someone and turned to both Robbie and I.

"Do either of you know a Martha Stacy?" He spoke as we both shook our heads. "She is the one who has been pulling the strings all along. She is the one in charge of Larkin."

"Do we know where she is?" I spoke as Robbie typed away on his laptop.

"Here. Martha Stacy. Originally from New York. Divorced Detective Y/L/N. One child." Robbie spoke as we looked over his shoulder.

"Y/N. My Y/N." I whispered. "So she was the one behind Y/N's dad's death and Y/N being tortured for almost a year. And now god knows what."

"We will get her back Lizzie." Tom spoke as he pulled me in for a hug.

"I'm combing through all of her known locations in LA. Tom, get the team together." Robbie spoke as Tom just nodded.

"Where do you need me?" I asked Robbie as he stood up and made sure that his glock had ammo ready.

"You are staying here." He spoke sternly.

"No. I am coming with you guys." I shouted.

"No you're not Liz. I promised Y/N that no matter what I would protect you. And I am not breaking that promise." He told me as Tom walked back inside.

"He is right Liz. Y/N would want you to remain safe." Tom spoke as he tried to calm me.

"No, I can't just sit here and wait to hear of she has died. I just can't do that again." I said as the tears started to fall down my cheeks.

"Liz, I have a location and I am going to meet the team there and we are bringing her home tonight." Robbie told me. "So you will stay here with Tom." I just nodded as he hugged me before he left to save my wife.

Y/N pov

I was honestly shocked at the two women before me. I never thought that they had anything to do with this.

"So this is your plan. Torture me or kill me and then move on." I spoke in between beatings.

"That is exactly it, but I want to cause you so much pain that you will pass out." Mother spoke as she hit me over the head with the butt of a gun making me laugh.

"I grew up with you as a mother, so I am not new to your feeble attempts to kill me." I sneered at her as she hit me again.

"Maybe I just need a sharper object to do the trick." She smirked at me as she got another blade and twirled it between her fingers. But before she could do more the door opened to reveal Larkin.

"The police are here." He told her.

"What?!" She shouted as she jammed the knife into his stomach and I watched as he fell to the floor with a look of betrayel in his eyes. "This is bad."

"Maybe we can make it out in time?" Sophia spoke up.

"No we won't be able to. This is the end for us." She spoke as she paced up and down the room. I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief at being able to go back to my wife and bring my kids home. "But let's see if they will make it here before I kill you." She seethed as she pointed the bloodied blade in my face. I tried my hardest not to show any fear and keep my face stoic. I will not let her win. I made a promise and I intend to keep it.

A bit of a tense chapter here but the book is nearing it's end soon. There is only 2 more chapters left now.
