the group returns, the royal meeting

As the people came in they seen the group who'd stayed behind all laughing and dancing, Nana was dancing with Mahad and Britt was dancing with Atem. Bre was watching with a smile but she knew there was only two men left with them when her attention went to everyone who showed up. Britt was distracted by Atem as she couldn't help getting lost in his eyes as they danced.

Jake had came in behind most people that he was last to see the group as the dance was ending. Atem took Britt's hand after they were done dancing and kissed the top of it. She smiled at him with a slight laugh before her followers caught her attention. A slight blush crept to her cheeks then because she'd shown a side she kept locked away and everyone had seen. Jake was fuming with anger though as he saw this. He was gonna make his way through the crowd when Britt raised her hand to get everyone’s attention.

“I welcome you all back, Jake shall report to me how many we lost in this attack and for that we will take a few days away from training to honor the fallen. I wish blood shed wasn't a choice in this but to get what we want it must be this way. Peace right now is just not a choice.” Britt said

Everyone honored her for this choice but she decided to be upfront with her troops now.

“Also, I have an announcement. As you all know not much is known about me. I came here when this group was formed for my freedom. Since then you all have tried to find something on me, to see where I come from. Well I am the Princess of the Nile Kingdom. I am the Nile Princess of Egypt gifted by Goddess Anuket and I am your chosen leader. This group is formed for the change of things but this group was my hope to decide my own fate.” Britt said

Everyone was shocked by her announcement and she expected they were going to ask her to step down from being leader, but they didn't instead they were cheering. They now realized not all royals cared about money and their royal life. Britt looked to Atem who was hesitant but he stepped forward taking Britt's hand. Everyone was then talking but Britt silenced them.

“Something you wish to say rebel champion?” Britt asked with a slight teasing smile

“You know I am not a rebel born, I am the heir of the throne. The Prince of the Pharaoh.” Atem said looking at her

“I know, You chose the right side when you didn't report us to your father for your uncle would know our plans then.” Britt said

Everyone just watched them but was shocked that two royals were in their rebel group and one was the prince of Egypt.

“I will follow the Nile Princess into battle to show my side of Egypt that my uncle is up to no good.” Atem said

Britt was surprised to hear him say that but he wasn't done but he wasn't ready as he knew it wasn't the right moment. Everyone went their own ways, Britt was heading to her chambers to get ideas for planning done but as she walked in her chambers Jake barged in and closed the door behind him.

“How can you allow that?!” Jake said
“Because I am the leader and I make the choices. I don't let my feelings cloud my judgment.” Britt said not looking at Jake.
“what does that mean?!” Jake asked Obviously frustrated
“It means that I am the one making the choices here and if I say he stays then he stays, if I say he'll be my lover then that's what he'll be. I make the choices and you don't have say in it unless it's for battle.” Britt said

Jake was taken back by her words and he could tell something had changed while he was gone. She wasn't about to say her parents had been there nor that she had kissed Atem again. Her feelings did slightly blind her as she wouldn't betray her heart now but she kept her boundaries. Jake went over and made her look at him in her eyes he seen the truth. Her hatred for him but her love for the prince, that emotion he never seen her have for him. It stung him deeply but he cupped her cheeks which made her put her hands up in protest knowing his plan.
