Aknadin was making his plans to move his troops to Kul Elna, and while he was doing that Britt and her troops were making their own move and planning. Atem would be right by Britt's side every time she was making her planning. He may have been future Pharaoh but this was still her group. Her decisions were the final piece of this groups not his. He had to watch seeing her leadership skills grow day by day as she lead her group. He knew she was a great leader and that is what had made him fall in love with her and know he wanted her as his Queen.
Jake had come in the room and he bowed to her which caught her attention. "Yes, Jake?" She asked knowing he was still her ally unless he betrayed her trust. "We have started to spread your rumor around. Word has come back it reached the palace." He told her. She nods "thank you." She said and let him leave. She knew too well this wasn't what Jake wanted from her. She wished to the Gods everyday that he would find someone to replace his obsession with her and end this struggle.
Jake left to go scouting on his own but his best friend Scott had followed him to make sure that no one would hurt Jake. Jake could sense he was followed and he pinned Scott to a tree. "Why are you following?" He demanded. "Because my friend, I don't want to see you more hurt then you already are by our leader's rejection." He answered but clearly was flinching because of how much Jake was using his strength to pin him to the wall. Jake let him go after some time. "Me? Hurt by Britt, no. She'll come to her senses eventually seeing I'm the better match." He said. Scott knew Jake was lying to himself into thinking this because their leader was a princess and the better match for her was their rebel champion.
Back in the base Britt set the plans aside as she went to check on the others but before she could get out of her room, Atem had grabbed her and pulled her to him. "Yes My Rebel champion of my group and heart?" She asked him with a teasing voice. He smirked at her as he captured her lips in a kiss, to which she kissed him back. Moments like these she loved with him when they were able to be alone. When they pulled away he had a smirk on his face. "Soon, this will be over and you'll be my wife. We'll never have to be apart." He said. She smiled knowing her future was hers to command now and out of her grandfather's hands but she worried about so much. Her power was still what she feared people using her for but she didn't think he would use her for it.
I must trust in Atem that he won't use me for my power. I know that's the part of me I've still yet to revealed but he does know my Ka is Goddess of the Nile. Britt thought
When they both parted Britt went to see the other troops she walked out and stood where she was above watching their movements. Atem went after her and wrapped his arms around her as they both watched. They knew the people were strong and the group had gotten stronger with Atem's followers joining them.
"We're almost ready, just a few more hours and one signal of my uncle appearing in Kul Elna and we'll never have to worry about another thing." Atem whispered in her ear. Though as much as she wanted to believe it she was having a hard time because she didn't think it would be just one attack would be enough. "Maybe, it may just be the beginning before we have to take it to a big all out." She said. Atem didn't say anything as he looked over her shoulder but he knew she was right about her words. To take his uncle down it would mean probably going all out and using everyone they had to do so. "Then we plan for the next attack now." He suggested. As much as she didn't want it to come to that she knew they'd have to plan that next step together. Both of her hands were on the bar as her arms were relaxing against the bar.
Outside of the place Jake had been about to walk in when he looked through the window seeing the Prince and Britt watching everyone. He got so angry that he went to the stables and he got his horse. He left in anger leaving so fast Scott couldn't even follow him. He went to Kul Elna to check out the area seeing if Aknadin was even there. He was going to take him down himself so that he could prove he was better.
They're so close now; she thinks the Prince is everything. I'll show her and the rest of them. Jake thought
As he went there he saw there was more than just Aknadin looking around but the angry spirits there were attacking his army. Leaving Aknadin defenceless so he went in for an attack but Akandin was too fast and defended himself. "So the leader sends a boy to do his job." He said but he could see something in the boys eyes when he mentioned the leader. "Or is this leader a woman." He said which caught Jake off guard. Aknadin took the advantage to knock Jake off his feet and he put his sword near his throat. "Join my side boy, I'll let your girl live. I can see in your eyes you love this leader." Aknadin said. Jake was silent and he glared for his secret was he did love Britt but she wasn't his girl. No, she was already someone else's lover and he knew that. He could see an option to take the prince's place but it would mean betraying her.
What do I do? If I betray her trust she'll never forgive me. Jake thought
