Y/n's pov.
I was sleeping, peacefully in my bed, until i heard Dustin's voice, "Y/n, this is Dustin, do you copy? Over." i ignored it, hoping he would already give up.
"Y/n, i know you're listening, over."
"I have something important to tell, over." i groaned in annoyance as i grabbed my walkie-talkie, "What do you want, Dustin," i ask, still half asleep on my bed.
Dustin quickly answered, "Y/n! Let's meet up in the mall in fifteen minutes, over."
"Not now, wait, Dustin!" i yell, after not getting any answer from him.
"Ughhh," i groan, getting up from the bed to have breakfast and get ready.
"Shit, I'll be late," i say, locking the front door and running to my car, i started the engine and sped up to the mall.
I parked the car and locked before entering the mall, i headed towards my brother's job, since Dustin would probably be there.
Entering the ice cream shop, i spotted Dustin and Steve, sitting and talking with each other.
I slowly approached them from behind, "Boo," i say while putting a hand on my brother's shoulder, while the other on Dustin's.
They both got startled and quickly turned around, "Y/n! You actually came!" Dustin says.
"Yeah," i say, walking up to Robin, giving me a high five while she laughs at scene.
"Y/n, i swear if you do it one more time," Steve says, while i sit beside Dustin.
"So, what is the important thing? If it's not as important as it sounded, I'll beat your ass," i say, remembering that i had to hang out with Max.
"I intercepted a secret Russian communication," Dustin whispers after getting closer to let me hear.
After a moment of silence i finally spoke, "Is this some kind of joke?"
"No, it's not, come on," Steve says as we follow him behind the counter.
Dustin puts down an English-Russian vocabulary and a cassette, he started it and all i could hear is a man talking in Russian.
"So what do you think?" Dustin asks, after switching off the cassette, "It sounded familiar," Steve says, while eating a banana.
"What?"
"The music right there at the end,"
"Why are you listening to the music, Steve? Listen to the Russian, we're translating Russian!" Dustin says while pointing at the cassette.
"I'm trying to listen to the Russian, but there's music-!" Steve says, as he got cut off by Robin entering the door, "All right, babysitting time is over, you need to get in there," she says annoyed as Steve steps away.
"Hey, my board. That was important data, shitbirds," Robin complains looking at her board, that now had the Russian alphabet.
"I guarantee you, what we're doing is way more important than your data," Dustin says.
"Yeah? And how do you know these Russians are up to no good anyways?" Robin says approaching.
"How does she know about the Russians?" Dustin asks shocked, looking at me and my brother.
"I don't know,"
"I don't know Dustin, it's maybe because you both literally talk loudly," i say, sarcastically.
"Exactly, You think you have evil Russians plotting against our country, on tape, and you're to translate, but haven't figured out a single word, because you didn't realize Russians use an entirely different alphabet, sound about right?" Robin explains the whole situation, as Steve and Dustin look at each other in shock.
