Chapter 1: Suzie, do you copy?

Y/n's pov.

We were at Dustin's house, preparing a surprise for him, since today he would come back from the science camp.

"Y/n and Lucas, you both will hold the poster," Mike said pointing at me and Lucas.

"No way, why me?"

"Y/n, it's just for a couple of seconds," Mike insisted.

"Whatever," I said, grabbing the poster to welcome Dustin.

"Don't forget to say, 'Welcome home'" Mike added again, while i sighed in annoyance.

We heard the door being opened we hid, waiting for Dustin to enter his room.

I heard him entering his room, so El started using her powers to move the toys, as planned.

We heard the toys noises approaching us, Max peeked from behind the wall and nodded to me, meaning she saw Dustin passing by.

I pointed my thumb upwards, signaling to Mike, "Now!" Mike whispered to El, then all the noise stopped and she opened her eyes, wiping her nose.

We sneaked behind Dustin, Max stood in my left, while a held the poster with Lucas, as decided.

Dustin was checking his toys, slowly getting up, while Max was counting with her fingers, when she got to the number three, they all used their party horns, while i said, "Welcome hom-!" i didn't even get the time to finish my sentence, as Dustin turned around screaming and used pepper spray against us, it only hit me and Lucas though.

My eyes started hurting and i turned around to stop getting that liquid in my face, "Shit! My eyes!" i said while letting go of the poster and covering my eyes, meanwhile, i heard Lucas yelling out of pain.

Luckily, Dustin realized we were his friends, so he put down the spray down, "Hey guys! I'm sorry!" i heard Dustin say.

"Come on," i heard Max say, as i felt her grabbing my arm, pulling me somewhere.

"Hey, slow down!" Lucas said, probably being pulled by Max too.

We then stopped, and i heard the tap water running, she put my head in the sink as i felt the water running down my eyes.

Seconds later, i moved away from the sink while groaning out of pain,
"Better?" Max asks, a little worried.

"Yeah, i thought i would go blind after this," i answered, grabbing a paper towel to wipe away the water in my face.

"Your turn now," Max said, while putting Lucas face under the water.

Moments later, Lucas got away from the water, "Ow, ow, ow."

"You good now?" Max asks.

"Still stings, Is that a new zit?" Lucas says while pointing at Max's forehead.

"I think it's a whitehead," i said looking closer.

"What is wrong with you," Max said, raising her eyebrows, hitting my head, while for Lucas, she shoved his head under the water, while we both groaned in pain.

Right after, i saw Dustin walking to the front door with El, Will and Mike following behind him, all of them holding some bags.

"What's going on?" Max asks in confusion.

"We're going to talk to Dustin's girlfriend," Will says with a smile.

"Huh?"

"Girlfriend?" Max and Lucas repeated in shock.

"I think you hit my head way too hard," i said, not believing what i just heard.

Lucas looked at us, took his bag and started running, "You deserved it," Max says as she grabbed my hand, while i grabbed my bag too, and started following them while dragging me.
