I hear a knock on my door that forces me to stop think of my problems for a moment. I get up and look in the mirror before answering the door. My brown hair is a mess. My hair has grown longer than I'm used to. I look worn out. Even my hazel eye color gives off the impression that I'm exhausted. I feel tired. I've been tired for a while now. The difference is that now I'm happy. Happy and tired. It is a nice change.
I quickly brush a comb through my hair and take a mint so my breath doesn't smell awful. I grab the handle and open the door. Chandler is there to greet me.
"Hey Mase. How did ya sleep last night?"
Chandler looks as good as he usually does. His hair is at least twice as long as mine. That makes me not feel as self-concious of myself. He has this cute smile on his face that makes me smile. He's wearing a blue button up shirt over a black t-shirt. He is also wearing black skinny jeans.
"Um... okay. It was different."
He looks at me slightly concerned. He looks in my room and notices my phone on my bed.
"Did that text Jay sent keep you up?"
"Yea..."
"Can I see the text?"
"It's not important."
He takes another moment to examine me before speaking.
"Is there something else bothering you?"
I look at him wanting to lie but I know I can't. I decide to just change the subject.
"Do you have to be on set today?"
He senses that I don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm grateful that he doesn't push any further.
"Yea. I got a call from Scott. You're needed to."
"Oh am I? Well this should be fun."
"Are you nervous?"
"No. I have you by my side."
He kisses me.
"Get ready. I'll be down stairs. Mom's making breakfast."
"Okay. I'll be down in a bit."
He smiles and we kiss again. He leaves and I shut the door. I walk over to my phone. I'm hesitant to see if I got a new text. I check. Nothing. I guess I'm in the clear. I pick my outfit for the day and get ready for my day. I get a shower, brush my teeth, and walk down for breakfast. I sit down next to Chandler and look out the window. It is sunny outside.
- 30 Minutes Later -
It didn't take long to eat breakfast and the car ride was only fifteen minutes long. We got there and Chandler's mom said goodbye to us. I am nervous to meet the other stars off "The Walking Dead." I look over to Chandler in hope of gaining confidence from him but he shows the same slight trepidation also. That's when it hits me.
"You haven't talked to them yet have you..."
He looks up to me understanding what I meant.
"No. They all are great people. It just worries me."
I grab his arm and we stop walking for a moment. I suddenly don't feel nervous anymore. I feel ready. I reach down with my hands to meet his hands. We stand a small distance away from each other. I look at him smiling. He replies with a weak smile. I talk first.
"Baby. It's gonna be okay. I'm sure it'll be fine."
"I know. I'm still nervous."
He looks down again.
"Hey. You get through this today and maybe we can go on our first date."
"Oh yea... wow we didn't do that yet."
"You get through this and we can do whatever you want. You decide."
"I get to choose?"
"Yep. Just surprise me."
"I will."
We smile at each other and kiss again. We hold hands and continue walking. I'm on the right and Chandler's on the left. Neither of us are nervous anymore.
- 3 Hours Later -
I have already met all the major cast members and directors. Just being here is amazing. I feel the energy radiating off of everyone here. Steven Yeun is the first of the cast to welcome me. Then Andrew Lincoln, and Norman Reedus, and everyone else from the cast follows. It all feels like a blurred out dream to me. I can't stop smiling.
There was a moment earlier when I was called away to go talk to the crew. I assumed and now had Chandler confirm that the rest of the cast did talk to him about his coming out.
I'm talking to Chandler right now and he couldn't be more happy. He can't stop smiling and it's adorable.
"They really don't care! They are so happy for me! I'm so grateful to have a family like them to support me! I feel so free!"
Chandler puts his hands around my waist and kisses me. I kiss him back. Chandler stops for a second and looks around. He pulls me with him and we find his trailer. We go in and Chandler grabs my butt pushing me back against the wall and kisses me. We are making out. Our tongues are interlocked for a minute before they separate. Chandler starts to kiss my left cheek now. Now he's at my neck. He starts sucking on my neck. He does this for a good two minutes making sure to leave a mark. I am not worried about someone seeing it. I'm having too much fun to care. I'm moaning a little but no one is around to hear. After he is done giving me a hickie, we make out some more. Finally, we agree to leave and head down to lunch with the rest of the cast. As we walk Chandler speaks to me.
"I got the perfect idea for our first date."
I look at Chandler. I'm smiling excitedly.
"Do you?"
