Chandler's mom is probably the nicest woman I have ever met. The entire ride she keeps asking me questions, making sure I was okay.

"Do you want me to play a different song? Is the heat fine? Do you want me to put the window down?"

She is just extraordinary. I get to Chandler's house and it is dark now. I can see the outside clearly. His house is huge. I've never seen anything like it. I open the the door and step down on to the stone pathway. The yard first catches my attention. There are flowers every where surrounded by one giant bush. Then I notice the large wooden door. The engravings are a unique style. I speak without thinking.

"Wow..."

Chandler's mom smiles as if amused by my comment. Without looking at me, she responds to my comment.

"It is beautiful. Chandler used to help me plant all the time when he had time."

I look at her as if to respond, but next thing I know her hand is on the door handle and she is inviting me into her home.

I walk in. The inside does not disappoint. It is just as marvelous as the outside. There is a fricken chandelier! I stare at it amazed. Then I see a series of paintings. I can't even begin to imagine how it is like to live in that house. His mom walks over to what appears to be an intercom on the wall near the door. I had no clue they even put something like that in a house! She speaks into it allowing her voice to echo through the house.

"Chandler. Your friend is here."

She gets away from the intercom and speaks to me now.

"He will be with you In a moment. He's probably playing one of those video games with his friends."

I admire the house more as I wait for Chandler. The front door left his mom and me in the dining room. To the left is what appears to be the living room. There is a huge couch with two recliners on each side. To the right is the kitchen. The kitchen has a retro look to it. From what I had seen from outside the house, there appeared to be three floors.

The sound of someone running up the stairs bounces off the walls. The door from the far back left of the dining room opens up. Chandler emerges from the door and sees me.

He smiles before saying "hey!"
